First of all, I need to clarify that I did get two of these chairs from the Vine Program through Amazon. However, before I got them delivered, I took a chance and ordered two more to complete our set and paid full price. The price I paid for a set of two was $180. Not a bad price at $90 a chair. The current price, however, is $230. The price increase can be attributed to many things but at $115 a chair? I don't just know if that makes it a good value. Dining chairs are so important to the home that paying more than you would on other sitting chairs is expected. You want them to be sturdy, and you want them to be comfortable. And obviously, you want them to look good. These seem to hit all the boxes. However, when setting up my first set of two, no instructions were sent with the product, and one of the longer screws was missing and replaced with an additional shorter screw. I could still secure it, but I would have liked to have had all the correct sets of screws. My second set (official purchase from Amazon) did indeed include instructions and the correct set of screws. The "leather" seems hardened and strong. On some furniture, you can easily see it is "fake leather," but on these, it's harder to spot. The color is great and looks natural too. It matches our table really well. Our last chairs were a grey material fabric that got dirty pretty easily. These will be much easier to keep clean and changes the entire look of the dining room. These feel so much sturdier than our last set too. In fact, the entire reason we replaced the last set was that one of them bent back, and the screw tore right through the wood. These seem to fit well with the screws intact. You cannot lean back on them, which to me, will allow them to last longer. The backing is strong, and there is not much movement. We are happy with them. I wish the current price were about $50 less for the set.

I like this chair. It’s actually nicer than I was expecting, and I’m super pleased to see that it nicely matches the dining chair version of these pretty perfectly if you are getting more than one height. They work perfectly for counter height sitting as pictured. I love the decorative nature of them too. The tufted nature of them is really good and well done. I’d say the negative part of the design is the fact that there’s a seam with a zipper down the back of it that’s pretty visible and bugs me a little (especially since the back of mine is typically more visible than the front of it when pushed in). I don’t think the leather is “real”, but I’m not an expert. It works well enough for me as far as material, as we have lots of kids and it wipes clean easily when sticky fingers get on it. There is a good amount of assembly required and I used a power drill to get it done easier. It comes in pieces- there’s a good amount of screws and work involved to get it together, so allow time for assembly. It feels sturdy enough once installed and I use it occasionally as a plus sized (XXL) female adult, but it works better for kids as far as sturdiness than for overweight adults like me. I feel like it will last longer if I just avoid this and stick to sturdier, wooden stools than this one I assembled myself. The bottom of the chair has some fabric that Velcro’s back on to cover the bottom with screws in it and give the bottom a cleaner look. I think they are a pretty good deal for the price- just as long as a little DIY type of flat pack assembly doesn’t scare you off. In general I’d prefer a pre-assembled chair, but I think the price is fair for what you get and the assembly time required. They look a lot more expensive than they are so they are a good budget friendly alternative. Overall I’d recommend it.

These are simple to assemble, look nice and are pretty comfortable. I would call these a 4 star buy for price to quality. The color is true to the listing images and the comfort is quite good, not this is like a lounger comfortable but enough that you could easily sit though a Seder or wedding reception on them. If you like what you see then I say give them a try. Just my thoughts, AK
