This is a well made tarp to have on hand. I prefer the ones made of polyethylene like this, they are far more durable & I trust their waterproofing ability more so than others. This tarp is holding up very well. I've already had it exposed to quite a bit of weather & it's proven its effectiveness, the grommets still look brand new as well. This tarp is made of thick 12 mil material that has been durable and waterproof. It also has nice metal grommets that make it easy to secure the tarp. They haven't come undone like previous tarps I've tried. It was exactly the right size to cover my outdoor furniture when it rains or when I need to store it for the winter. I got the 10x12 silver/black 14 mil. This is a great value for 14 mil, which is generally considered heavy duty. I'm skeptical of brands I haven't heard of before - you never know if there were cut corners in the manufacturing process that might affect the longevity.
