Install this T&P relief valve in top of storage tank. Do not panic when the product is dripping, this is the pressure of the product is too large in the pressure relief, please connect the pipe to the sewage discharge. Please note that the water heater should be filled with water first before turning on to avoid dry burning. ME25 ME10 ME40 ME60 ME25B ME80B ME100B Can this unit be install in line with an existing water heater to suppliment the hot water? Yes. It will work fine like that. Just make sure that it has enough electric to run it. What should I do if I encounter water that is too hot? Turn the temperature knob counterclockwise to a lower temperature setting. If the temperature does not lower within 60 minutes, it need to be replaced a thermostat. Can this point-of-use electric water be used outdoors for an outdoor shower? No. These mini tank water heaters are not suitable for shower. What is the size and type of the Camplux 2.5 gallon mini tank electric water heater in/out fittings? The size of the water inlet/outlet is 1/2 NPT. How should I clean the inner liner of my mini tank hot water heater? Clean the inner liner of the water heater regularly to avoid the appearance of rust. Unscrew the water inlet and outlet, pour in the soda water, and shake to clean for a few minutes. Rather than waste water waiting for it to run through the pipes from the household water heater, I installed a 1.3 gallon Camplux electric mini tank in the sink cabinet in two bathrooms. Well after five years this unit quit working. No power light. No heat Follow up after 4 1/2 years: Still works perfect. I have this in an outbuilding supplying two sinks. It is used through out the day, every day. Follow up after almost 3 years...... still working perfect . No maintenance needed. Application: I have a work shop. I use this unit for hand and dish washing. It is hooked up to a wash tub and bathroom sink. It has plenty of capacity to perform these functions. I am still very happy with this heater I have had for about 8 months. I replaces another unit (different brand) that only lasted about 12 months. So far so good. It was easy to install. Plumbing is all about getting right fittings so some persistence is always needed The other unit failed (again different brand) as water got inside the controls when I cleaned my shop sink. The water got in where the pipes existed the casing. This brand has superior seals in this area. It delivers near instant hot water. re-warms quickly It is a bit bulky but I purposely bought the larger unit for the tank size Totally happy after 8 nonths ... show more

I’ve only had it two or three days. I tripped the breaker twice. I’ve been really mindful since then. I’m using it in a 35 foot RV as the sole hot water device. It worked great for the shower, but not a long one. The only advice I can provide is be mindful of what other devices you run while the hot water is heating up. The light is on be mindful. I gave it four stars. The reset button is a real pain in the butt to get to you have to drain the tank. The reset button is on the bottom of the tank. You have to remove the cover and hit the reset button put the cover back on attach all the connections again a real pain in the butt so be mindful of what you’re doing when it’s heating. hope this is helpful. I have included a picture. I have mine hooked up to the washer, hook up in my RV. Also, the electrical cord is very very short. ... show more

I have installed this in my new camper that i just built. I have the 2.5G version. I put it on max heat, it took about 15 minutes to heat the water. I took a full shower, it was scalding hot so I could mix it with half cold water and as such, there was plenty for a full shower, in fact I suspect there would have been enough for another shower. So power usage is about 400W to get 65F water to 130F. Very little indeed. Very happy so far. ... show more

I’ve used these water heaters under sinks for years. Got 9 years out of first one, under kitchen sink. I think the anode wore out eventually. So I just got this new one, same model, and replaced it. Thought all was well, but a couple weeks later noticed water around the relief valve. It was loose. I could turn it by hand two full turns. What the? I had used teflon tape and tightened with a wrench. The tape might have been a mistake as it looked like the valve threads already had a sealant applied at factory. Unfortunately the water leaked down inside so now I have to take it out, invert it and let it dry. Maybe take the cover off. It should be fine but what a pain in the back. So, word to the wise, double check your connections and recheck them periodically. My hunch is that sealant softened up over time and with heat. The water heater instructions say to use tape so I did, but it looks like the valve didn’t need it. ... show more
