My experience with the Skyemac fire pit is it's easy to assemble and ultra portable as it packs into a very small canvas pouch. I did experience some warping after a few camp fires. I got a lot of heat for a relatively small firepit. We had a great time roasting marshmallows over this firepit. I used a welders blanket or a folded piece of HD aluminum foil under the firepit to reflect the heat and protect the ground.

VERY nice product at what I think is an incredible price. Large and fits a LOT of fuel or a REALLY thick piece of single wood, air flow is top notch plus the free bellows they give you. Great stove, but it SHINES as a fire pit. This thing puts off an insane amount of heat, can easily keep you warm down to 40 degrees, maybe even 30 if you bud it up against rocks to reflect heat. It's very light and a great backpacking item. The only con here is it will scorch the ground and possibly start a ground fire if you're not responsible with it. Measure a piece of foil twice the units side and fold it in half shiny side out...sit the unit on top. It should have a couple inches of extra foil on each side. This not only removes ground fire risk, but also reflects heat instead of the ground robbing the unit of heat. Seriously the best piece of kit I've bought yet, I'll be buying another in case I ever need one and can't find it online....it's THAT good.

The media could not be loaded. This is the best stove for the money. I have many other wood stoves including Firebox Stove. Firebox Stove is wonderful and very durable, but this Skyemac stove is almost twice as big. You can heat two small pots. Easy to put together, light for Stainless steel. It can handle small and large pots. Although it has pot sports I really haven't needed to use them. You can easily feed even longer pieces of wood into the large opening, Storage bag, blow tube and twine are nice bonuses. I have had about 10 burns so far with minimal warping on bottom plate, nothing that affects usefulness of stove. It has turned a beautiful bronze color. Only negative is the small distance to bottom of stove that needs protection. Easily solved with aluminum foil. Although I haven't tried it, I imagine you could easily adapt stove for using alcohol stove or wood pellets. I think charcoal will also work well, just need to add grill top, which I already have used for burgers. If I could only have one stove this would be it! Update: 8/15/23. I've added some updated photos after about 100 burns. Only slight degradation on bottom plate. Slight modification on front plate on door to help with slight sag, added a screw. Charcoal works well, use sometimes if in a hurry to grill. No significant issues. Holding up great and still burns great and my review remains 5 stars!

Its pretty cool that it is twice the size of a normal small square stove and doesn't take up much more room. I included a photo of its bag and an Atiap titanium stove. It is pretty heavy though being a little over a pound. It does get super hot on the bottom , so be careful where you put it. Cooked on it with some charcoal and it hasn't warped yet and it did get super hot. My thought with this was to have it as a mobile fire pit and not so much for cooking. If you do plan on cooking on it you really need a grate (for steaks or burgers, more weight) for the top as the cross beams offer little area for anything but a pan or pot. Still need to to do a good burn in with branches and see how good/bad the airflow is. If anything changes ill update my review.
