I go camping a few times a year and one of the biggest annoyances is bringing batteries to replace the existing lamps / fairy lights / headlamps. I love that the KuuGlow is rechargeable and has different features that are way brighter than the normal setup I use for camping. It's nice that I can have a variety of colors at the simple press of a button, or a really bright lamp in one single compact device. I have seen a lot of portable lighting products, but this one is incredibly dynamic in its use cases and very high quality. I love the multiple light modes, magnets, brightness, VERY useful retractable design, product feel, and overall aesthetics. - Reinforced fairy lights are less prone to tangling and easier to manage than traditional fairy lights. - Clever rotating winding tool flips out to easily and smoothly wind up lights. - Multiple light modes to meet lighting needs in many different settings. - Hook on the end of fairy lights is a great touch. - BONUS: Baby distraction. This worked great on recent flight to keep my toddler son entertained, and it was a much better light to use than the standard overhead light, which is very harsh, especially on night flights. ... show more

This product is really well designed. It feels sturdy, well built, and it's very easy to use. The string light pulls out and retracts easily and smoothly. Product also arrived promptly, as described. My favorite part is the different light settings it has, The photos have the soft yellow light that's great for ambient lighting. In all seriousness, this product does exactly what I need it to do and then some. Was only looking for a bright, rechargeable magnetic light to use for my car/in emergencies, and this came up. The good: - The main light itself is bright and I can attach it to my hood as needed to give light with the strong magnets. - String lights are an added bonus if I ever go camping / need to set a mood. - Several different light modes that are easy to cycle through. - The hook at the end of the light string and wind-up feature are well thought out. - USB cable was also a nice touch. I like that there's both USB-A and USB-C. - I also appreciate having an LED indicator for battery life. The happy surprise: - I didn't expect it to charge my phone as it wasn't in the description. Apparently this thing works as a battery pack too! The bad(...ish): - The cover for the USB ports is really hard to take out without something to pry it open (ie. tweezers or a toothpick. Otherwise, I would expect this to be good at keeping out water/dirt. Solid construction, no frills, gets the job done. Will need to see how long the battery lasts/how many recharges it can take, but otherwise pretty happy with this purchase. Pending that, am thinking about getting a second for our other car. Handy for quick car fix. I was nervous about ordering this camping light because it didn't have many or any reviews at the time but I really liked the bright orange color, which I thought was better looking and easier to spot compared to similar camping lights that all seem to be dark brown or green for some reason. I was pleasantly surprised that it's magnetic so I could stick it to the side of my car (very handy!), and also the lantern function was much brighter than expected so I hardly had to use my headlamp in my campsite. ... show more

    • Solid addition to default camping kit
Pretty cool light. Super versatile and will become a mainstay in my car camping kit. My two favorite features are the warm white string lights for lighting a tent, and the battery bank function— for all the times I forget my charging bank. The light output when rolled-up in compact mode is okay for inside a tent, but the light really “shines” when you unroll the string lights. The string feels pretty durable and is surprisingly pliable. I don’t know why I expected the string to be more metallic feeling like those other cheap fairy lights, but it wasn't. Time will tell how well the unit holds up to the abuses of camping... so far so good. ... show more
