  • This is a great air compressor!!
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
The air compressor arrived quickly and packaged well. It didn’t take long to put together and it’s super quiet. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Campbell Hausfeld has always made a great product.

  • Nice and quiet, great for homeowners
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet + Nailer Kit
After working professionally with a super loud compressor for years, this one is great. Super quiet and easy on the ears. Power is fine for what I need at this point. Got the nailer kit. Probably wouldn't do that again. Since it's a brad nailer/stapler, it leaves staple-sized impressions even when using tiny brads. Sucks for finishing work, which is why I got it. I also used this compressor with an HVLP spray gun, refinished all my kitchen cabinets, drawers and doors. It runs a lot when spraying at 40-50psi, and you should probably give it a break every now and then, but it did not let me down. Downtime between coats was enough for the machine to catch up. I would definitely recommend for a homeowner doing some weekend work, but professional woodworkers and finishers will certainly want something larger than 10 gallons. ... show more

  • Junk
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
After only 9 months of very little use it started leaking badly. Others complain of bad check valve. Not finding any parts at first look either.

  • Contact CH tech currently for parts and help
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
We bought this compressor June 2017, 1.5 years ago. Recently the pressure switch failed. I went to eReplacementParts and they had no listing for this compressor model. Called CH tech help. Marsha, very helpful, told me to double check the part and get the serial number. I did what she said and she it's sending the new part at no charge. The reason for the confusion is that it is such a new model, it's not listed on the parts websites yet. I really like the compressor, it's quiet and the right size for us. ... show more

  • I used to buy from amazon returns, but this was ridiculous
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
I usually but from returns because it's a couple dollars cheaper and better for the environment. I rarely have issues, but this time was horrible. This is a picture of what the box looked like on my doorstep. Pieces were missing, but I had the parts from my old one. The first time I used it, it started to emit smoke. Now Amazon is great about returns, but I just needed to post about my having to pack up something that has to be in it's original box. Also if this is sent as like new, something should be re-evaluated ... show more

  • Amazing! I don't know how long it will last ...
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
I have never written a review before, but I feel this Campbell Hausfeld air compressor is worthy of one. I ordered this compressor through Amazon and it arrived 3 days later. Took it out f the box and put it together, and then went through the break in process. When I fired it up I couldn't believe how quite it was. When I ran my old compressor I had to take my hearing aids out. With this new Campbell Hausfeld compressor running I can leave my hearing aids in, and also have a conversation with my wife. Amazing! I don't know how long it will last me, but I know it's really quiet, and it fills up with air pressure very quickly. Perfect for my needs! ... show more

  • Gauge
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
I've used this a lot for the last two years. Molding, tires, blowing out the shop a few times a week, and pneumatic tools. Today I took down a 25 year old bolted structure with an impact wrench and just thought I should give a shout out to the makers of this compressor. You can't go zip-zip-zip-zip with 8 gallons undoing corroded bolts, instead having to give it a minute break to build pressure back up after a zip or two or three depending, but plenty of a initial reservoir I thought. Even had a friend comment on how surprisingly quiet it is a number of months ago. Seems to work as good now as it did originally. It did leak air around the pressure switch assembly in the beginning and I couldn't just tighten it a little because the assembly would hit the tank. Had to take all that apart, teflon tape it, and put it back together. It's been a couple years but I recall replacing a fitting. Two things I thought about improving on it and one is the gauge. I have some wagon wheels that say 15 lbs and it's just a guess on the gauge included. Right now I set what appears to be about 15 lbs on that gauge... then tire gauge, add pressure, tire gauge, add pressure... etc until finally, close enough. The other, the drain cock. Thought about lifting the thing off the floor more with larger wheels and adding some to the front, then pointing the drain out the side with copper. Too many other things to do so I haven't got to it but I think about it every time I open that drain. As it is, I'm feeling around underneath the thing to find the drain and have my ears right near the 100+ psi exhausting after I open it. I'd guess the weight empty is about 3-4 gallons of milk. Not that big of a deal. That's my experience. I'd buy it again for sure as it fits my needs fine. ... show more

  • Quiet lil workhorse
Style: 8 Gallon Quiet
A caveat, I bought this as a gift for my 84yo father so I have no first hand experience with it. Several conversations with him have given me enough information and confidence to write a review. He loves it. It's very quiet, maneuverable, more powerful than expected. I got him the recommended hose and accessories kit as well. He now considers himself king of the hill in the air compressor department. To me that means something, coming from a man with 70 years doing woodworking. ... show more
