I am a 46 year old man and I weight about 200 pounds. These roller skates are so great for beginners. I have used these on streets and sidewalks with no real problems. The wheels are pretty good but the bearings are a little slow. As I get better at skating I will buy more advance skates.     • Good for beginners but put washers between the bearings and trucks
TL;DR: If this is your first pair of skates these will do fine but you should put washers between the bearing and trucks (trucks are plastic and may melt from heat + friction) and maybe replace the toe stop. But if you are semi-serious you’ll benefit from something higher quality. I have had these for ~10 months and have had a ton of fun skating on them about once a week since then. I started out skating on flat hockey rinks and basketball courts and then graduated to the skate park, so I have really put them through the ringer. These worked great as a first skate for me, but there are some pros/cons you should be aware of. Pros: Good price Really comfy boot They work and lasted me a while Cons: - After skating outside in the August heat for 1-2 hours the plastic on the trucks started to melt and jammed the bearings such that the wheels didn’t / barely could spin. Solution: put a small washer between the truck and the bearings (mine melted so much I had to replace the bearings too (~$20), so put the washer in preventively first!). - Hard plastic toe stops: the toe stops are not grippy at all. This is okay while on a rougher cement or asphalt but on wood, metal or smooth cement it gives you almost ZERO stopping power and walking on your toes to get out of a bowl or up a ramp just doesn’t work - you will slide back down. Solution: you can buy replacement bolt-on toes stops for like $10 I eventually one of the top stop rip out of the plate while doing skate park tricks, but these skates really are not meant for that and had I not done that I am confident they would have had a much longer life. ... show more

Absolutely love these!! I wear a women’s size 8 and the men’s size 6 fit perfectly. Great value for beginners who just want to skate around for fun without the commitment of a huge investment.

    • Great quality skates
My grandson likes these skates. The only thing that he did not like was the laces that came with the skates, as they were quite low quality. I did however purchase some higher quality ones (also on Amazon) that are waxed, which work awesome .

These were a holiday gift so they weren’t three weeks old when they broke. That may be a flaw. But they were thoroughly enjoyed until that happened. Very comfortable, rode very smoothly on an old roller rink. Just sad they didn’t hold up.
