This coat is a great deal. It's a good price and I love all of the features. I love the detachable fleece liner, I love the color, and it really is waterproof (coming from someone in the PNW). I bought a Columbia jacket at first because I don't really need a heavy winter coat and I was afraid of buying a brand I didn't recognize. This one is so much better than the thin, expensive Columbia one. This ski jacket is great! I wish it was available in more colors. Keeps me warm on slopes, and l love that’s it’s a 3 in 1, so I can remove a layer if I need to. I wore this on a day that was super snowy and cold and I think I would have froze without it! I really like the buttons clasps for the 3 in 1 sleeves. They’re better quality than a $300 ski jacket that I have, and keep the sleeves secure. I also wear the mid layer fleece just around town on cooler days.     • Warm but don’t like material inside sleeves
I usually don’t write a review but I really liked this jacket except the inside sleeves are also lined with fleece so hard to slip on and off because your shirt sleeves stick, otherwise a warm and nice looking coat

I will start with the only negative: Being that this is 2 jackets in one, with the inner jacket being fleece, the sleeves will catch on every single shirt sleeve every single time you try to put it on. Also, the fleece jacket sleeves were constantly trying to come out past the outer jacket sleeve at the wrist. These are not dealbreakers, they’re just annoying when you’re trying to get the jacket on and off quickly or having to get all your layers adjusted every time you put the jacket on. I found myself wishing I had gotten the jacket that was just a ski jacket with slick/smooth inner sleeves, not a winter coat system. Also the sleeves in general are quite long. I may get them shortened in an attempt to make wearing this jacket less irritating. Now for all of the positives! There are many. This jacket is waterproof. I wore it in Iceland in 40°F weather with sideways rain and my top half stayed dry. It is very well designed and I find attaching the fleece jacket inside the outer shell to be a very satisfying experience. The zippers, the snap loops, it’s all perfect and sturdy. The pocketssss! If you wear both jackets as one you will have 5 pockets- two side/hip pockets that zip, two large inside open pockets, and a chest pocket that zips. The hood is detachable, but stays firmly attached with a zipper at the nape of the neck and velcro in the collar of the jacket. The hood also has just a little bit of a flap/brim which helps if you get drizzled or rained on. The brim/flap looks much more pronounced in my photo than it is in real life. I didn’t know I wanted that, but it was much appreciated in all the rainy weather we found ourselves in. The hood is a bit big, but it is adjustable and it has room to wear a hat/beanie under it. For all my complaints about the inner fleece being annoying, I am looking forward to using only the outer jacket on a trip to the windy and cool California coast. I think it will be just right. This fits exactly as described. I got my regular size. I’m generally between a L-XL and I usually lean toward an XL bc I like to have a little room in my clothes. This XL fit nicely with enough room for layers underneath but it wasn’t a tent. This jacket held up extremely well on her maiden voyage, it does not look like it has had any wear at all. I live a warm subtropical climate so winter is rather abstract to me, and a shock to my system when I get into cold weather. I can’t say this jacket kept me entirely warm, but I wasn’t freezing cold. Love love love the color. Love the length. Love the material. But the hood is huge. It must be made to wear over a helmet, because when I pull the hood up, it falls down and completely covers my eyes. And while I love the concept of being able to wear as a rain coat or a fleece jacket or both...it just seems like way too much trouble to undo all the zippers...especially if you get to hot while using. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs and I'm between a L and an XL. I bought an XL in case I wanted to wear over bulky sweater...but alas it was too big. ... show more

I bought these jackets for my husband & I to take to Europe because of their versatility. They did not disappoint. From the top of Jungfaujoch glacier in Switzerland to a downpour in Cologne, Germany and New Years Eve in Paris, for 6 weeks this was our outer wear. Often times, we had the inner fleece out and wore long sleeve T-shirt or flannel shirt and was perfectly warm because the jackets blocked the wind and rain/mist. They were well constructed. Zippers moved fluidly. Love the breast zipper pocket because it was easy to slip a metro pass in & out. Side pockets were roomy & comfortably fit gloved hands, a phone, & room to spare. Once back home, these are still the rain jackets we grab when taking the dogs out or wear the fleece alone as a jacket. ... show more

Great jacket, very well made. I love it but unfortunately am having to return due to size. I followed Amazon's suggestion and the sizing chart in making the decision of what size to order but the jacket is HUGE on me! I feel like a little kid playing dress up in a large adult's clothes. The length of the jacket comes past my bottom to mid-thigh, the ends of the sleeves are well past my hands and the width - I could be 9 months pregnant and still have plenty of room. I'm a chubby girl and I know a lot of items on Amazon run small so I didn't think anything of it when it said to order XXL but really, I could probably size down to a L. I tried to re-order but there is a huge price increase on the XL and L so I guess I will have to keep shopping around. Bummer because I liked this jacket but don't think it's fair to pay 3x for a different size. ... show more
