Value for money: So Impressed!! - About a third of my RV awning had pulled away from the camper and I wasn't able to get it properly placed back in the slot channel. I used these clamps to grab the awning edge while the straps were secured to my solar mounts on the roof. It was an unconventional fix, but worked fantastic and will keep me using it until I can get into the repair shop.     • Great product! Should be a standard part of any RV awning! Works best with at least de-flappers on each side of the awning.

We have an old and worn (and repeatedly patched) awning on our camper. I always would get nervous when the wind would start the awning flapping. These "de-flappers" work great. Because I'm so worried about our old awning ripping at the camper-edge mounting point, I bought two more kits for a total of six de-flappers (i.e. three go on each side). Now the only time I worry is when the wind picks up so strong that it's the overall "sail" of an awning that is the problem. The flapping on the edges is now a thing of the past. One usage note: I don't crank these down as tight as I could when I put them on the fabric. I discovered that if they have a little play, they will work themselves off in severe situations. Sort of a built-in blow-off valve. When it gets that bad, it's time to drop the awning, in my opinion. If you have a healthy awning fabric and really want the de-flapper to stay on, crank away! They'll hold (though your awning may not.). ... show more

I'm at a long term site with my coach so my awning is out and anchored. But it was flapping constantly even in a light breeze. These de-flappers were the solution for me. They work in 15-25 mph winds and don't come loose. Any higher winds and they might pull loose. My only complaint is the connectors to the awning brace are way too short, so minus one star. I have an electric awning that folds out. So instead of the supplied hook-and-loop straps, I attached them with bungee cords and they work perfectly. ... show more

If you have any type of awning you need these deflappers. There really a big difference in how the wind affects the awning. Any awning, any brand, camper, home, it doesn't matter. They work on all of them as long as there is a frame to attach them to.
