Purchased Dec. 10th 2021, as a Christmas present. Still going strong and sharp as of July 22nd, 2023. I will say that we use these knives sparingly (mainly in food preparation also). We also clean them and dry them by hand after we finish using them, unlike our "normal" knives we wait till after dinner and then through them into the dishwasher. Have had these knives for just over 5 years and absolutely love them! (With normal maintenance i.e. sharpening) The steak knives have a deep enough serrations so it cuts through meat really well! Though if they are submerged in water for a significant amount of time and not wiped and dried off properly it will leave permanent water marks and potentially rust ... show more

Had to return the first set because the finish on the block was terrible. The second set I received had a better block but still not great. The knives have been great so far. They look nice and are very sharp.

I wanted to wait awhile to review these to make sure they wouldn’t fall apart on me and they have surprised me. Some of the reviews were mixed so i wasn’t sure about them but I can honestly say they are great! They have stayed sharp a very long time, easy to clean and they look great. The only thing I noticed is they don’t like being soaked (which is every time my husband does the dishes so I can’t complain 🤷🏻♀️) Other than that, I haven’t found anything wrong with them and we have been using them for months. ... show more

I had never intentionally bought knifes for myself before, always dull knifes or used or hand-me-downs. These knifes are so high quality, I am shocked I was even able to cut food at all before in comparison to these. They are solid and absolutely stunning. They are made from a singular piece of metal, which I like a lot, and are both lightweight and substantial. The block is beautiful and the knifes make such a great noise being pulled from the block. We love these knives. They cut very well, are easy to keep honed, and are comfortable to use. A lot of the negative reviews complain about rusting, and those reviews come from people who aren't taking care of the knives correctly. For those that don't know, with nice knives, never put them in the dishwasher, and don't let them sit in the sink soaking (or even just sitting dirty) overnight. Wash them with a soft sponge and dry them when you're done. If you do that, they will last you a very long time. Also hone the edge every two or three uses, and you won't have to break out the sharpening stones for a good while. These things are hold their edge very well. ... show more

We ordered these to have as a great addition to our new home. We were very pleased to see how heavy duty they felt when they arrived. I am a dishwasher fanatic, and did not think twice before putting them in the dishwasher, which was MY OWN FAULT. So the first two I washed in there started to rust. We then started handwashing them and immediately drying. Although we couldn't save the first few pieces we put in the dishwasher, we were trying to salvage the rest of them. One of the knives has some type of broken metal piece in the handle - I have no idea how, as we have only used that knife a few times. As much as we have tried to care for them by handwashing, the knives are still losing their finish on the blades and becoming rusted. So when I say not to get them wet unless you are just washing them quickly and putting them away, I mean it! Great set, just wish it could sustain being wet for moments before being dried and put away. I am very sad about this, since we did drop a pretty penny on them, but we will have to find another brand soon. ... show more
