Because there are no cords on these shades, they are an excellent choice if you have children in the home. Moreover, they offer excellent insulation problems and the block out the light. These are a wonderful choice for a bedroom, bathroom, TV room or anywhere where you want to block out the light, which of course saves on summer heating bills. This shade is a great insulator in the winter too, as its honeycombs trap cold air.

I purchased two shades. They were very easy to install; the snap retainer clips were a bit stubborn to catch the shade. However, with a bit of persistence the clips "clicked" and hold the shades well. The covering cloth fabric is nice and the shades are very effective at blocking sunlight and street light. SIZE- Order the widest size that will fit in your window because light will leak through the sides. Normal, to be expected. The measurement is accurate and the brackets snap in from behind/top so no extra side room is needed to account for them. DO NOT BREAK THE LIP WHEN INSTALLING- Go watch that guys video review before installing. Using a flat head screwdriver to widen the latch just a touch is key. I definitely broke one of my blinds and had to move the brackets over for them to land on a non broken part of the lip. INSTALLATION-If you can see down into the top of the blinds when securing, that’s ideal. You’ll be able to see if you’re pushing in enough before pushing up and securing the clasp. Doing it blind is way harder and riskier. QUALITY- All in all, quality is good for the price. Ease of installation is great too..once you know what to look for. COLOR- I like that they’re not stark white. They’re a bit pale grey with white top and bottom rails. My only complaint- there are small pin hole spots where the blackout layer isn’t. Maybe that’s a quality control thing? For the price, it doesn’t bother me.. I also am not trying to remove these things any time soon! ... show more

I’m a first responder so when I get home, I need some good sleep! My current house blinds were not cutting it as it lets through a bunch of sun. I’ve attached a photo of the comparison (left blind is the product and right blind is the ones that came with my house). I’ve had something very similar like this installed at my old house and knew that it would do the job, however, I bought it at Home Depot. It also included measurement and install but it was extremely expensive! I decided to order this product and try to install it myself. First, the price was very reasonable! Still saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars versus if I was to use Home Depot or Lowe’s. This product does give you instructions on how to measure your windows to find the proper size. After measuring my windows, I placed my order. Initially, it wasn’t supposed to come in several weeks but I got an email couple days later saying that it would be delivered soon which was awesome! Product came in secured with no damage to the box! There are instructions that came with the product but it was very confusing! Of course, we gotta think outside the box and I just went on YouTube and luckily I found a simple video that explained it! The install was very easy!!! It literally took me less than 5 minutes to install one set. It actually took me longer to take out my old blinds LOL. FYI, my house is a new build and I knew the window frame construction. On mine, I didn’t have to use any anchors for the screws. Yours may vary!!! Overall, horrible install instructions but love the product! I still give it 5 stars!!! If you want 100% blackout to make sure you don’t see any sun/light from the outside, just type in blackout light blocker side track for windows and it’ll help out a lot! ... show more

I installed the shade fairly easily and it’s definitely blackout, which is nice. It seems like decent quality. That being said, it’s crooked! No amount of tugging on one side or the other will make the bottom straighten out. I’ve tried. It makes me want to return it because that’s quite unslightly. But that’ll be such a hassle to uninstall and repackage ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The cellular shades look very durable! I’ve only had them for a day, but the sun has been quite strong and it was over 90° today and it blocked out a lot of light so I am very happy about these as blackout shades. It probably took me longer to take the hardware off the previous mini-blinds that I had, than it did to install these, which took only about 10 minutes… These blinds/shade seem very sturdy, even with only two screwso holding it at the top of my window… And the whole thing just kind of pops in place which I like! Looking forward to sleeping in now that my room will be darker! ... show more
