This Calvin Klein trench coat looks really elegant in person and instantly gives outfits a more polished look. The double-breasted design has that timeless trench coat style that never really goes out of fashion, and the black color makes it easy to dress up or wear casually. The belt helps create a flattering shape instead of looking boxy, and overall it has a very clean, sophisticated appearance. The material feels smooth and well made, with enough weight to feel like a quality coat without being overly heavy. I’m really happy with how this coat fits and looks on. For reference, I’m 5'4", about 150 lbs, 34DD, size 10, and the medium works well. It fits comfortably over a medium-thick sweater, though it’s not roomy beyond that. The overall look is very modern, sleek, and polished—definitely has that professional, put-together feel without trying too hard. The structure of it keeps its shape nicely, so it doesn’t look bulky or sloppy when worn. The sleeve length hits right at my wrists, and the coat falls about 3 inches above my knees, which feels balanced and flattering on me. The fabric feels high quality for this style. The outer material is smooth and structured with a clean finish, while the inside has a satin-like lining that makes it easy to slip on over layers. It feels comfortable and well constructed overall. The snap closures are a nice detail—they make it really easy to take the coat on and off quickly without dealing with buttons. The belt also helps define the waist and keeps the silhouette looking sharp rather than boxy. I like that there are no logos, just very small text, "Calvin Kline" on the snap buttons. Runs HUGE and the fabric is stiff and really thick. I was so disappointed and had to return it. The shoulders are enormous like the 80s style. For me very unflattering and like a sack on. I’m 5’2 and 139 pounds and got the recommended medium. A small would maybe have fit but the coat was so big it would be a difficult call so I just returned it. ... show more

Overall I like this coat. There are a few fit issues (that might be unique to me) that keep it as 4 stars, but it is otherwise a solid transition-season coat. For reference, I am 5'5" with a 34DDD chest (typically size 10) and a medium fits almost perfectly. See notes below. Issues (why not 5 stars): Shoulders are a little narrow (common with prestige brands) — not much give, stretches when bending/reaching Sleeves a little shorter than preferred (others may find them fine, but I have long arms and, apparently according to fashion, wide shoulders) No internal pockets — nowhere to stash a phone except the outer pockets Button-on hood instead of snaps — snaps would've been easier (but it is removable, which is a plus) Mysterious design elements: a silver D-ring on the back (decorative?), a button snap on the back flap that doesn't connect to anything Pros: Good quality and construction, as expected from Calvin Klein Body fit is spot-on for a size 10 in mediumz with no tugging across the chest Nice matte black material, looks sharp Relatively warm — thin but has some padding Belt has 3 attachment points so it stays put Slip pockets where you'd expect them Hood looks good, sits under the collar nicely Looks like it may be easy to keep clean Material is more of a polyester-type, not the brushed cotton it appeared to be in photos ... show more
