  • No box or wrapping, delivered late, dented, broken and much more
Delivered front panel all dented and scratched up, all 4 wheels broken off. I had to buy and install 4 new ones myself. There was no wrapping, packaging, box, instructions or anything at all. I was going to get it replaced, but it's so big and heavy and it took over 2 months to get delivered. Too much of a hassle. Other than that it does work, but side door panels don't really seal tight and can still hear and feel a lot of vibrations. ... show more

  • Quitest compressor ever
The compressor is very quiet and works great. Easy to set up and move around. Too bad the cabinet cooling fan is so loud. Not that it is obnoxious, but it is now the loudest thing and on all the time. I bet they could find a quitter fan. Still, WAY better that any other compressor I have heard. Can not comment on long term reliability but for 15-20 hours of use it has worked flawlessly. ... show more

  • Love this compressor.
Love this compressor. I bought this to use in medical simulation to simulate delivery of medical air and oxygen to medical headwalls in our simulation hospital. You can actually hold a normal volume conversation in the same room as the compressor. We keep ares in a closet in a room not used during our simulations, and know one notices it running. I wish I could afford it at home. ... show more

  • Great Until It's Not
This compressor is a great machine. Great specs all-around and basically whisper-quiet. Unfortunately, just over a month out of warranty, our machine started spitting out metal shavings. That seems bad. And of course it's not covered. For a $1000 air compressor, I'd hope to get more than 18 months out of it. Contacted California Air and they stuck to their guns on the 18 months warranty. This thing is big and heavy, so realistically you can't ship it anywhere for repair. Hopefully you have a local place, but you're still going to pay 1/2 the value of the machine to get it fixed. This happened under VERY, VERY conservative use, indoors. ... show more

  • So quiet.
The packaging was substandard as the other reviewer points out. But it is incredibly quiet. It works and none of the panels were broke. Took too long to deliver for prime. I had first ordered one of the other California air compressors for an office. It was too loud. This one with the cabinet is perfect. But I cannot attest to how long it will last. ... show more
