Well my first impression was not a good one. The instructions lacked detail and were incomplete. Some photos would certainly help. Although there is an exploded view of the compressor with a parts list, the images are so small and faint that it’s difficult to determine what’s what. I followed the instructions for first time start-up. I was shocked how loud this thing was! There was a noticeable hissing leak coming near the drain valve. My SPL meter registered 98dBa! Nearly 3x louder than advertised. Ok, the troubleshooting chart did mention leaks and making sure all the fitting were tight. Sure enough, the barrel connector just in front of the drain valve was loose. Supposedly, each unit is tested before shipping therefore did it loosen during shipping? Somewhat suspicious but I let it go. Read the manual further about replacing the ‘Air Filters’ will be necessary at some point. Because these filters get dirty and play a part in the quiet operation of the unit. Eureka! There were two screw-in canisters provided but had no information about what they are and where they go. The assembly instructions had nothing. Screwed them into each cylinder head and Bazinga! The compressor is running at 73dBa. I did feel like a bit of a dope because I had these things and should have guessed they were important. But guess not important enough to pre-install or have instructions to install them. 🙄 Otherwise, it appears to operate as it should. I’ll amend this review in the future when I have more experience with the machine. ... show more

We have a dental practice and the compressor hits all the must haves. Quiet ! Has a dryer ! And a dehumidifier it is much larger than our last one so it keeps going Highly recommend

This compressor broke down one year to the day after I bought it. It was not even in service for 9 months. The weld on the tank cracked causing the air tank to leak like crazy. That in turn caused the motor to kick on constantly. That is shoddy workmanship. It cost over $800 to fix it. The expectation that I was going to send it back to California Air for repair is absolutely ridiculous. I am going to try to get a refund for the repair, but good luck on getting a live person on their phone to inquire. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. ... show more
