The Powerful 2. 0 HP motor operates at only 1680 RPM creating less noise and less wear. The SP Series of Ultra Quiet Air Compressor Motors have been designed to increase duty cycle and allow for longer continuous run times. The Oil-Free Dual Piston Pump System is engineered for high performance and durability. The CAT-10020ACAD Air Compressor has a Oil-Free Dual Piston pump designed to have a life cycle before wear of 3000 Plus hours compared to other comparable air compressors with life cycles of 500 hours or less. The Oil-Free pump allows for use in a variety of temperatures (cold starts) and uneven terrains (no oil in the pump). The Easy Start Valve feature allows for a easier start up using less starting amps. The Easy Start Valve releases a small amount of air from the pump at start up to produce a no-load condition allowing the motor to spin freely. This no-load start up requires less amps for a easier start up in cold temperatures. The large 10 Gallon Lightweight (63 lbs) & Rust-Free Aluminum Air Tank with wheels, makes it very easy to move around the jobsite, shop or garage. The factory installed California Air Tools EZ-1 Automatic Drain Valve has been designed to eliminate manually draining your air compressor air tank.     • I'm not impressed
One of the wheel brackets on th unit I received is bent, so the unit doesn't sit upright as it should... it tilts a bit to one side, which will drive me nuts every time I look at it. I'm a little leary about trying to straighten it, as I don't want to risk compromising the welds. The output pressure adjust is very stiff on my unit... if this is normal for this unit, then the pressure adjust sucks, and needs to be redesigned. Maybe it'll break in over time... who knows. Itll do the job for me, but I feel a bit screwed. It was well packed, so I doubt the wheel bt Racked was damaged in transit, and the very stiff regulator adjustment must have left the factory like that... the QC guys at the manufacturer saw nothing wrong with this unit. These are issues I'd expect to find with a cheap overseas manufactured unit, not something I paid 700 bucks for. I've already recycled the box, so I can't return it... God I hate stuff like this ... show more

What a disappointment to receive a product supposedly assembled in the US, of this size, and at this price range just to find out that it was packaged defective by the manufacturer. After reading the mixed reviews I decided to order this compressor through Amazon instead of the manufacturer’s or other distributor, and I was right to do so. The shipping and product boxes arrived both in perfect condition, but one of the compressor’s legs is so bent out of shape that makes it impossible for it to stay level. I cannot imagine what kind of QA/QC process misses something as evident as this. Whoever assembled the legs must have seen it, and simply did not care. The compressor does not stand upright! If a simple leg is defective, a clearly visible issue, I cannot trust the quality of rest of the compressor. What a disappointment and hassle to put this back together, pack it and return it. If a manufacturer does not care about putting these defects in the hands of their customers is not worth supporting it. Even if it is made in the US. A wheel is bent. How does something this obvious get put in a box and shipped? It is quiet. But that bent wheel just pisses me off. I'm past the return date - got busy and didn't have time to unpack it when it arrived.

    • It’s quick and quiet
This compressor starts up with a brief pressure bleed, which seems to help avoid a surge in the amperage draw. That and the auto drain are nice features.
