    • Great Stuff
I did not think it was doing much at first but after the third wash I can definitely see and feel the difference. We have really hard water with lots of mineral deposits, so I read about this on Pinterest of all places and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. Everything much softer and no static cling. Also the info on the bottle said no necessity of bleach. I gave that a try with some rags I used on the floor. Came out clean as can be. I am sold on this product. ... show more

    • Must have for fresh diapers!
I purchased this due to lingering odor on cloth diapers after laundering in hard water. It is "unscented" but does have a faint smell intrinsic to its ingredients. The smell does not remain on clothing. I don't know the ingredients in this and I try to avoid synthetic chemicals on my laundry but this product is an essential step in my diaper care routine. Though recommended by diaper care websites for use in every wash, I only add a capful to my diaper prewash cycle about once a month and it prevents the odor causing buildup sufficiently. It is safe for My cotton, hemp, and microfiber inserts/soakers as well as the PUL covers. My child has not displayed any skin irritation in relation to adding calgon into my diaper care regimine. Highly recommended to restore freshness and remove mineral buildup from diapers. This product works in a different and superior way than baking soda or vinegar for water softening for laundry purposes. The latter two products can actually be counterproductive in maintaining clean diapers. ... show more

    • Magical
I recently moved to an area with hard water. My whites were literally unwearable after ONE wash at at our new house. My whites were literally brown, bleach made them yellow. I did a little research, ordered this and WOW!!!! It actually removed the dinginess from what I thought was ruined. My bed sheets are now blinding white- no bleach! It also helps with odors. SPF shirts get so smelly in the wash, I don’t know why but this removes the odors 100%. Cleaner, softer, brighter laundry. Works fantastic on colors as well. My colors look more vibrant, I never realized colors get dingy too. Amazing stuff! ... show more

    • Calgon is hard to find in local stores
I like this product and was happy to find it on Amazon. Package arrived on time. The 3 bottles were wrapped together in plastic. Problem is I could smell the Calgon on the box. It was apparent the bottles leaked out the plastic and then in the shipping box. Next time I WILL NOT buy the liquid version. It is expensive and upset me regarding the leakage. ... show more

    • Finally, my whites are white
This product is wonderful! My laundry is so much better and cleaner than it used to be. We have very hard water here and I needed this product.

    • Remember "Calgon Take me away"
The liquid form of Calgon is the same as the bath salts in as much as a water softener. I live in Missouri and we have very hard water. I add almost t a capful to my washing load and my detergent goes much further as I use less than half the amount I previously used. My clothes are brighter, softer, and cleaner. I believe the Calgon definitely helps get the detergent out of the clothes and that makes all the difference in your laundry. If you have hard water you should try it and you will be very pleasantly surprised. I also use it in the "fabric softener" cup as that is added to the final rinse water and I believe that is what gets the detergent out. ... show more

    • These are a lifesaver!
I've always accepted hard water as a fact of life as a southern californian and just got jealous of friends and family on the east coast when I'd visit and their laundry wouldn't NEED a dryer to not cake like cardboard. You'd think in the land of sun you could having a drying rack outside and be fine but with hard water half the stuff always feels like a brick once it's dry. After one apartment complex with a really HORRIBLE w/d combo that destroyed most of my clothes and left the rest feeling virtually unwashed I looked into what I could do so the next place I didn't run into the same problem. Reddit suggested these and a water softener shower head as well and they're great! No need for fabric softener now, cheaper overall, and I can dry my clothes on a clothesline or rack and it never feels stiff. ... show more

    • The packaging for shipped was awful;.
The packing of the calgon was awful. They were not packed tight, so they flipped all over inside the packing box and leaked all over. VERY VERY disappointed in the packaging of the Calgon. The product itself is good. Whoever packed them for shipping did a terrible job.
