Calgon works as advertised. That said, EVERY single time we order these, regardless of quantity or even seller, the bottles leak all over. Rating 3 explicitly for this reason. The makers of Calgon absolutely must design a new bottle because the current one sucks.

I recently moved to an area with hard water. My whites were literally unwearable after ONE wash at at our new house. My whites were literally brown, bleach made them yellow. I did a little research, ordered this and WOW!!!! It actually removed the dinginess from what I thought was ruined. My bed sheets are now blinding white- no bleach! It also helps with odors. SPF shirts get so smelly in the wash, I don’t know why but this removes the odors 100%. Cleaner, softer, brighter laundry. Works fantastic on colors as well. My whites are whiter and my clothes are softer and hardly wrinkle anymore. I washed flannel and added calgone to the water and there were not hardly any wrinkles in the fabric. When put in the dryer after using calgone in the washer things don't bunch up but seem to flow more looesly in the dryer. I sew and need to prewash fabric and this has been excellent at preventing wrinkle and maybe even shrinkage. I recommend trying it for yourself. ... show more
