This product seemed to work well. My son has dreads in his hair. So I decided to try this product (Dream Kids Conditioning gel by African Pride) in a pinch. I wash my son's hair then I towel dried, I proceeded to twist his dreads and hold them with metal clips until I had finished his entire head. While I was doing his hair he stuck a metal clip deep inside the gel...I decided to leave it there and not dig it out at the moment. I finished his hair put a stocking on it and he went to sleep. His hair looked great the next day with many compliments, I was happy. That afternoon he started scratching his head, every few minutes he was scratching, I tried to help but it never seemed to relieve the itch. So that night I washed it out with a basic shampoo and towel dried it. He still itch through to the next morning. I decided I would try this gel on my edges for my ponytail for the day. When I opened the jar the metal clip had turned brown with rust...ALREADY! If the gel can do that to a clip basically over night...what is it doing to my hair I quickly changed my mind and decided to write this review. I worked hard for my natural hair and I refuse to let some careless hair care company trick me. Don't use this product it is too chemical and will damage your hair! ... show more
