Was a mistake to buy these. I liked the look. The install is not easy. There is a gasket that is has a poor fit and slips causing issues. As well, unlike most lights with motion detection and/or photo cells they do not momentarily come on to let you know they are working. You need to wait until night to see if they arrived broken or not. After getting them, I wish I had just shopped locally considering the price and the mediocre quality. The product installation literature was not very thorough. It did not indicate how you should orient the light for the best motion coverage. Also the motion coverage is not adjustable. I live near a busy road and where the light is installed on my front porch is up pretty high (Bi-level home) and traffic in the lane nearest my house sets off the motion detector and makes the light go on. The brightness of the light is perfect. Over all I'm satisfied with the light. It is a good value. I just wish there were something in the instructions that would have told me the area the motion detection would cover , how to orient the light base to get the best coverage. and some way to adjust the motion sensor so I could avoid it being set off by traffic. ... show more

    • Motion Detection does NOT have 100% coverage under the light

You would expect the motion detection to be 100% within a certain radius under the light. I am finding that the detector only works at extreme distances AWAY from the light fixture. Street cars turn it on, pedestrians walking on the sidewalk sometimes turn it on BUT it does not turn on when I walk up the front porch stairs or when I exit the door onto the porch. It does not seem to work while under the fixture or when I wave my arms to try to activate it. But a car on the street gets detected which I do not need to have happen. It looks nice but doesn't function as expected. This was purchased last week, it came quickly but after installation I'm going to take it down and return it. I can't afford to waste the $59.99 with a product that seems less then perfect. ... show more
