We rented one of these for my wife, who had leg surgery. After her wound was on the mend, she decided she would like to own one, since her knees are really bad. She only rides it in the house, but it's great. The small turning radius works well for inside the house. She hasn't used it outside, but seems like it would work there too. The seat is comfortable and is adjustable for height and can be turned to different positions. We took the off the arm rests and the free baskets so she could more easily fit through some places, although if it is used outside, I'm sure they would come in very handy. I was going to order a different brand with suspension for about the same price. I was shopping and this scooter happened to catch my eye because of the colors - purple, white. I ordered this one and I love it. i have not had any problems with tipping over, etc. I have been careful after reading the review about the woman with a 6' ramp who tipped over backwards. I use it to run to the recycling bin, etc. I feel much more independent. I do not miss the suspension. It would be nice, but it was too expensive in this brand for me. I rated it 4 stars because the description of the length of the battery I think is a bit misleading. They may be describing a very thin, light person, constant smooth ride (the battery reacts to bumps), and the larger battery that does not come with the scooter unless you order it additionally. I think the seat is very comfortable and the scooter seems well made. I am also glad I got the 3 wheel with the smaller circumference turn. ... show more

This is my second Buzzaround XL. The first one lasted 5 years and I thought it was great, so I bought another. Problems: 1. I got the more comfortable larger seat, which is 3 inches wider than the previous larger seat, making it very difficult to drive through standard sized doors without banging into the sides, something my wife is not thrilled about. 2. It was easy to pull up the seat on the first one; this requires two people and is difficult. 3. After 5 months the scooter would not charge, which turned out to be a failed charging plug and also the charger. The replacement parts did not solve the problem, but was able to use the port near the battery on the old charger. 4. Then the scooter began stopping without warning, 3 to 24 times a day, which turned out to be a problem with the throttle control or potentiometer. It’s still under warrantee and they ordered replacement parts, but Golden lost the order and it has now been three weeks with repeated order dates missed. 5. For the previous scooter a controller board was ordered, which was smashed and it took a month to get that replaced. Golden had misplaced that order too. ... show more

I've had the Golden Technologies Buzzaround XL scooter (GB117D) for 2 weeks now. It has changed my quality of life by giving me the freedom to go to places that required a lot of walking.. It has a very comfortable seat and seems to be more padded than the other scooters I tried. The seat can swivel to help sitting down or getting off easily and the seat back folds for better storage. The arm rests also fold. Most important for me is I don't feel crunched up when sitting on it because it has a longer space for my legs. I have the regular sized battery which was plenty for shopping at several stores. It disassembles easily to put in your car but the battery and the deck are pretty heavy but not any heavier than the other brand scooters I tried. Lastly, it is fast enough that I only use the slower settings for speed. I love it and highly recommend it.. ... show more
