After reading some of the reviews and watching a video on how to install this, I decided to purchase it. Most of the complaints that I read about this product seemed to be fixed. The handle is now attached with a bolt instead of set screws and the nut is a locking style. I did notice the bearing assembly was not installed flush and needed some adjustment to square it up to the mounting bracket. A hammer and punch fixed that problem. I had some reservations about the actual tarp before seeing it in person. It seems to be sturdy and well built. Time will tell to see how long it lasts. I ended up welding some bolts to my trailer so that I can remove it easily (my trailer did not have mounting brackets). I just finished installing the cover kit from Buyers Products which is made by KYM Industries. I'll say the box had some shipping damage when I received it and I called KYM industries and a nice lady that spoke perfect english located in the USA answered to help me. Great USA cased customer service. I'll add that I screwed my 3 bars together using several of the pan head screws provided. In hindsight I think I was supposed to use the HEX head screws and only put 2 screws instead of all 8 that I used. Just something to note. PROS: -Fits the width of the dump trailer perfectly -roll up system and latch works well -the bungee hold down works ok and the anti sail bar might be worth buying -all the included hardware was good quality -fast and easy to deploy and store CONS: -installation instructions are terrible. No detailed pictures and hard to understand -box came damaged with parts sticking out -I had one grommet fall out which was easily repaired but worth noting ... show more

I got this as an open box item from Amazon for $85 because the packaging was damaged. Aside from one nut missing it was perfect. I chose to weld mine on and it was way to size properly . I cut the length about an inch and a half too short, so I could compress it to remove it should I ever need to for any reason. Then I just extended it and screwed together with the tarp retaining screws. After reading some reviews I did use red locktite on all the little Allen head set screws and instead of bolting the crank handle through, I pinned it with a hitch pin for easy removal and stow it in the battery box. I bought a fence/shade tarp for $21 and saved about $100 doing it this way as opposed to buying the complete kit. ... show more
