The durable poly hopper holds up to 100 lb of free-flowing material such as seed, feed, and fertilizer to handle all of your landscaping needs. Each spreader has an enclosed 12V motor mounted inside of the hopper and a manual feed gate regulator, so you control how much material is used. The included rain cover fits over the hopper and protects material from the elements.

  • It Works
Style: Spreader
It doesn’t accurately fit a 2019 Honda Foreman but it can still be secured. The support bars are too wide for the rear rack so the ends of the support bars are angled closer together than they are at the hopper. This makes the crossbar too long but it can still be secured with the clamps. About a 3/4” difference. Everything functions and I like the handle design for the shut-off gate. It’s stable and easier to use than other ATV spreaders. It might need a metal rod spinning inside the bottom of the hopper depending on how bad products cake up in it. ... show more

  • Minimal quality

If only the mfg. would have used better hardware & slight design modifications. I used larger dia. stainless washers at all points, then forced reinforcing tubes into the mounting pipes. Also had to make a slightly bend in the gate bracket so it would clear the hopper. Used washers at all linkage pivot points to eliminate all wasted motion while controlling the feed gate. I built a custom mount for the back of my old Simplicity Regent Hydro 14 tractor and it worked well on the first run: 200 lbs. of Pelletized lime. With just slightly better build quality & materials, this could be a top notch spreader. Even so, it's still functional. Didn't use the "U" mounting bolts at all, and cut the plug off the switch harness and soldered in lugs to attach to battery terminals. Overall: if you don't mind doing onsite upgrades, it's a pretty good unit. I'll be spreading fertilizer next. ... show more

  • Can't Beat For The Money
Style: Spreader
A really quite good little unit. I mounted mine on the rear rack of my Polaris Sportsman and have used it now 2 storms. It puts out a nice volume of salt and the cover keeps the salt dry as a bone so no clogging. The only thing(s) I have any issue is the flow control lever scrapes the hopper side which can make you think it's closed when it's not, put an offset bend in it and all is well. The other thing is the power lead could be just a bit heavier gauge wire. It can and does get a bit warm if you are spreading heavy salt for an extended period of time,. don't expect it to go up in flames but a gauge up or two would be better. Oh yeah, and a battery lug connection rather than the power port plug in, 4 wheelers really don't have that option. I snipped it off and put ring lugs on for best contact. (probably trashed the warranty by doing so) ... show more

  • Wish You Luck
Style: Spreader
Received item and inspected. Mounting holes were all off. Feed drop holes where stamped but not cut out. So be ready to do some plastic cutting if you need it right away. Assembled as directed only to snap 2 studs off with less then 5 ft/lbs. And stripped the other 2 out. Ubolts where all cut off prior to packing or a horrible mold so the locking nuts go on hard and then you can hand loosen / tighten them after they get started. DEBATED RETURNING, but since I'm really in a bind on time I can't get a replacement or better one soon enough. So off to the hardware store I went to modify and strengthen a decent design but horribly poor product. Added an electric corkscrew to the opener as the supplied one was a you know what to move and flimsy. Hardened bolts and better ubolts. And added a large washer to sturdy up the flimsy dispenser and made a thin but sturdy rotator to the hopper to keep the seed/feed/salt flowing and not having to shake it. So depending on your needs and expectations. I'd say it's ok for a once in a while use but a reliable one out of the box, Definitely NOT this one. ... show more

Rain cover did not exist in my box. Nor did all of the washers and nuts. However, I did purchase a used version directly from Amazon. I attempted to spread fertilizer with it, my tractor pto one works way better than this version. Will be seeking to return

This product was shipped quickly and got here just in time. Currently I am reviewing this a salt spreader, and will let you know in spring how it works for fertilizer and seed. I bought this after my tailgate salter on my truck had the motor go out on it again and I knew I couldn't get it fixed fast enough with 3 days of storms that were coming only 2 days away. Amazon delivered in 2 days as was promised and in good condition. Assembly of this was simple enough and only required a few sockets and a screw driver. After seeing some of the reviews about assembling it I was a bit worried, so I timed my assembly. Even with my kids watching and asking questions I was able to assemble the whole thing in 23 minutes. Quick tip, don't tighten all the nuts until the whole frame is connected and loosely held together, that will give you the little wiggle you need to get some of the things to line up properly. Just make sure you go back and final tighten everything. Once i had the unit together i went to mount it on my prairie 650, it was easy enough but required removing the plastic rack cover. With that out of the way it only took a few minutes to find good locations for the U bolts and to tighten everything up. Again don't tighten til all 4 are on and you like the position. The whole process took me under 40 minutes. Powering up the unit for me was easy because i have a 7 point trailer plug wired up at the rear of my prairie. This is a simple solution for this and many other items to get 12v power source and pulling small trailers with lights when needed. Some of the people have said it throws salt or seed all over the back of their quad, I'm guessing they cut the lighter adapter off the power lead and connected directly to power. I would also guess the connected the power backwards forgetting that it will still spin with the + an - flipped, just backwards and will spray all over your quad. This is a great little unit, it is able to hold 2 50lb bags of rock salt at a time and spreads with a good cover at about 15' wide. Didn't jam up with rock salt, or chloride. Needs the occasional shake to keep it feeding constant but not a big deal. I didn't have any issues with it spraying salt all over the back of my quad but it could easily have a mud guard mounted between it and mine if I felt it necessary. I have 2 100+ car parking lots that i plow and salt and this got the job done. It has actually replaced my tailgate salter for this season and I will buy a new one of those in the off season, or I might just keep using this depending of how the rest of this season goes. ... show more
