  • Time saver
Size: 36 Inch
It’s perfect for pushing away the snow in a larger driveway in Northern Illinois. It’s probably reduced my shoveling time by 75%. Made in the USA

  • Easy Snow Clearing Pusher Exceeds Expectations!
Size: 48 Inch
As someone who regularly battles winter weather, I recently invested in the Buyers Products 9001048 48-inch Wide Snow Pusher Shovel Plow Blade, and I must say, it has been a fantastic addition to my snow removal arsenal. This tool has made the daunting task of clearing snow from my driveway, sidewalk, and even my backyard hockey rink not just manageable, but surprisingly enjoyable. Easy Assembly and Sturdy Build One of the first things I noticed upon receiving the snow pusher was how incredibly easy it was to assemble. The instructions were straightforward, and I had it put together in no time. The pusher pole feels robust and well-constructed, which gives me confidence that it can withstand the rigors of frequent use. However, I believe a slightly longer pole would enhance the experience. A longer pole would allow for easier pushing at an angle, making it more comfortable to maneuver. Exceptional Performance on Light Snow When it comes to performance, the wide blade of this snow pusher shines brightly. It effortlessly clears light snow, gliding smoothly across the surface as I tackle my driveway and sidewalks. The 48-inch width means I can cover more ground with each push, which significantly reduces the time and effort involved in snow removal. I love how effective it is for those light snowfalls that tend to accumulate overnight. 15 minutes to clear my drive, which is more than twice as fast as with my standard 2-foot shovel. However, it’s worth noting that during heavy snowfalls—something we experience quite often—it may not be as effective. If you’re dealing with significant snow accumulations, this pusher works best if you can get to the snow while it’s still a few inches deep rather than waiting for it to pile up. For those heavier storms, I recommend tackling the snow early to take full advantage of this tool's capabilities. Versatility Across Different Applications What I appreciate most about the Buyers Products snow pusher is its versatility. It's not just for my driveway; I’ve used it on pathways, decks, and even for clearing space for outdoor hockey games. Its design makes it suitable for various surfaces, and it performs well whether I’m pushing snow off a flat driveway or making a clear path on a slightly uneven deck. Conclusion In conclusion, the Buyers Products 9001048 48-inch Wide Snow Pusher has truly transformed my approach to winter snow removal. Its easy assembly, sturdy construction, and efficiency in clearing light snow make it a valuable tool for anyone facing winter weather. While it may require a little extra effort during heavier snowfalls, I find that it excels in most everyday scenarios. If you’re in the market for a reliable, effective snow pusher, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this one a try. You won’t be disappointed! ... show more

  • A very substantial snow pusher
Size: 36 Inch
I've been using Canadian made, double-shaft handle 36 inch snow pushers for over 20 years. I say pushers plural, because the blades wear down and they become less effective. The latest version has an intricate ergonomic handle; which is actually an improvement on those pushers. And, I have been curious about the performance of single handle types for many years. So, when this USA made Buyers pusher showed up in the items I could try from the Amazon Vine program; I had my chance to find out. The first thing I noticed was how heavy it was compared to what I have been using. And after closer examination; I think that is a good thing for several performance issues. It was very simple to assemble with the rustproof screws and fiberglass shaft. All you need is a simple screwdriver. Here is what makes it different from most snow shovels, and pushers sold everywhere you'd find locally. (1) The UHMWPE blade is 3/8 inches thick. I've never seen anything like that in a store. (2) The blade is a smooth curve, front and back; with no corrugations needed to hold the shape because of the hard, thick UHMWPE material. (3) The majority of the total weight is at the blade where it meets the snow on the surface you are clearing. Some shovels with aluminum blades have half the weight in the wooden handle. (4) The result of having a blade with smooth curve, front and back, with no corrugations; means that the snow can't take hold in the depressions and clog up while you are using it. I've taken to wiping the blades of my shovels, and snow blower, with vegetable oil to prevent that. But, you have to keep reapplying it. I keep a plastic coffee can with a oil soaked rag in the garage with the snow tools so I can apply it for each use. The single handle actually makes it more maneuverable for placement, and turns than the double handle type I have now. And, the straight shaft makes easier to store in a tighter space than the intricate ergonomic handle. These are trade offs for the times when there might be deep wet heavy snow when a double ergonomic handle is helpful to allow you to push with your entire body. Which has happened here a few times over the years. I hope I don't get the chance to test that anytime soon. So, I think this would be a great tool for someone fit enough to deal with snow to begin with; and wants a tool that lasts many seasons without needing to be replaced. ... show more

  • Works well but constant tightning to screws needed

  • Great for fast clearing!
Size: 36 Inch
I opted for the 36 inch wide (3 feet) version of this shovel. It is solidly built, nothing cheap and flimsy done here! Every winter we get numerous snowfalls of just an inch or so of light, dry snow. Not enough for a snowblower, so I opt to do it by shovel. My go-to shovel is 18" wide, so replacing it with this 36' pusher makes doing about 100 feet of double driveway very quick. Be aware that this shovel will push A LOT of snow, so make sure you don't try and push more than you can handle. During some heavy, wet snowfalls, I thought I might be able to make 1 pass across about half the width of my driveway, but that snow adds up quick! Push only in strokes that you can move the total weight of snow. They say you can flip the shovel over to use the top edge as a scraper. I've only tried it once on a packed down tire track of snow, and it worked okay. I only tried a small spot, so I can't really speak to its overall usefulness as a scraper. If you want to power through some light snow to do some lightning quick clearing, then this shover or pusher or whatever you want to call it is the way to go. ... show more
