It has a good weight and isn't easily knocked away if my hand hits it the wrong way. If a package knocks it over, the tape and its core stay inside. These just plain work well. There's not much more to say about them. Their non-skid base and weight make it so that you don't have to hold on to the dispenser when you want to pull off some tape. It's easy to pick up and move, too. I'll just quit here except for saying that buying four of them was much less expensive per dispenser, and now I can have one on my desk, my wife's desk, the kitchen, and the kids' area in the basement. Perfect. I purchased clear tape from the dollar store to put in the disposable rolls for gift wrapping. Needless to say, the plastic cutter wasn't good enough. This is heavy and doesn't fall over, and cutting the tape is effortless!

I’ve been using this Business Source standard desktop tape dispenser for a few months, and it has been a solid little desk tool. It stays in place, cuts tape cleanly, and does exactly what a tape dispenser is supposed to do without trying to become the star of the office. **What I Liked** The biggest thing I like is that it stays put. Some lightweight dispensers slide around the desk like they are trying to escape responsibility, but this one has enough weight to remain where I put it. It is also easy to use whether you are right-handed or left-handed, so the southpaws are not left out of the tape party. **What Could Be Improved** The color is worth mentioning. Even though the product listing says black, mine looks more like a very dark brown.
