I bought this twice. So now I have a total of four. Might buy two more actually. It’s weighted so when you pull the tape, it doesn’t move around much. Makes labeling in a commercial kitchen so much easier. It has a hole to hold a pen too. Wish the hole was big enough for a sharpie instead. But the sharpie fits behind the roll of tape anyway.

I needed some heavy tape dispenser for the painter tapes and this serves the purposes well. It's somewhat bigger than I expected but it doesn't move easily and I can cut the tapes with one hand without any issues.

Spindle broke after bumping the roll from the top. Now it’s relatively useless.

….or the heat tape roll is larger than 3”. It still works but the heat tape roll sides around and (sometimes) off the orange core. Masking tape fits perfectly so it maybe a heat tape problem. Nice and heavy. I do have to push the tape down on the cutting metal before I tear it off but that is easy enough. But I like how it adapts from small core (for scotch tape) to the larger heat tape and masking tape. There are no instructions to assemble but it is easy enough to figure out once you know to look for it You have to put the 2parts of the core holder/spindle together (if it won’t go in try the other side and line up the projections). Overall worth the price. And it was one of the lower priced options. UPDATE: too much trouble, the place before the spiky tear off part never catches the tape, It is too low or something. Even when I push the tape down it does not always work. This is why I would not buy again. I just purchased another brand from here (from the ihomecooker store) and I will review that one as well. And I dropped one of them - the little "handles" on the core holder broke and now I have (literally) just a paper weight. Maybe my fault but it was not to a hard floor, just a gentle drop to the carpet.
