  • Easy To Use
Size: 8x42 Style: Roof Prism
I bought these for bird watching and outdoor concerts. They’re perfect!

  • Perfect for our recent Alaska trip (and future hiking and concert viewing)!
Size: 8x42 Style: Roof Prism
I tend to stress out about details and I did WAY too much research to still be so confused before I bought these. A friend had suggested this brand but I was torn between several different magnifications and outer lense sizes. Another friend finally joked - "These are binoculars, not the Hubble telescope- make a decision already!" So I did, and these were perfect!. Easy to use, very well made, large enough field of view to find things quickly and high enough magnification to really see detail while at the same time being low enough magnification to not have much trouble holding them still enough not to experience shaking. I just love these! Also, I initially had concerns about them being too bulky or heavy to want to cart around. These are full sized binoculars but not terribly heavy and the neck strap is comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to carry these on a long extended hike. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase. (Hint - you can attach the eyepiece cover to the neck strap. That way it will hang loose and out of your way but still be attached and you won’t have to worry about losing it. ) ... show more

  • Clear and Sharp
Size: 8x42 Style: Roof Prism
Recently purchased 8x42 to ID smaller birds. (I have used Bushnell's self-focusing 10x50 for many years to monitor bald eagles for Audubon.) Bushnell binoculars provides sharp and clear images. Both binoculars will be helpful during Audubon's Christmas Bird Count.

  • Nice binoculars!
Size: 8x42 Style: Roof Prism
I wasn’t expecting much but there are very nice! You won’t see the moon but for daytime use in a national park they work quite well! Definitely recommend!

  • Nice looking but they just don’t focus
Size: 8x42 Style: Roof Prism
Would give zero stars if that was not option. Was so looking forward to these binoculars. Box came in perfect condition. Never had been opened. Took out the new binoculars and put them in my hands. They felt great. I adjusted the width and held them to my eyes. Focused the binoculars. The left eye focused perfectly. The right eye would not focus. Tried adjusting the Doppler to see if this made a difference —- it did not. Appears I received a defective pair. Will be returning these as they simply do not work. ... show more

  • Nice specs for backpacking or birding, feel durable
Size: 8x42 Style: Roof Prism
These binoculars have a nice 8x42 spec which is a decent magnification level coupled with a nice and bright lens. This is a very common setup for general backpacking or birding and gives you a clear view without being so magnified that you can’t hold them steady enough to see anything. They come with a fabric carrying case (with a built-in strap), a strap for the binoculars themselves, and a cleaning cloth. The binoculars have a nice rubberized finish and feel durable and well made. The box claims that they weigh 22.6 oz. but I found them to actually weigh 24.3 oz. They are a little on the heavy side as I have some other binoculars that weigh a little less that have greater magnification, but I suspect the extra weight is due to the higher build quality and waterproofing of these. I like that the front lens covers use an easily flip down design that keeps them connected to the binoculars even when in use. You can quickly flip the covers up or down without having to actually remove them and keep track of them. The rear lens cover is a single piece that fits over both lenses with a flexible center section that allows the cover to be mounted regardless of the pupil distance setting. There is a small cover on the front of the binoculars that can be removed if you want to attach them to a tripod mount. There are also two lugs built into them for mounting the included strap. The binoculars have a standard design with a center focusing wheel, diopter focusing wheel on the right eye, and quick pull/push pupil distance adjustment. You can also twist each back eyecup so it extends to provide eye relief if you aren’t wearing glasses. Setup is as expected: Simply adjust the pupil distance until you see a single image, then close your right eye and use the center focus wheel to get the image for your left eye sharp, then use the diopter wheel to focus the right eye to match. Overall a nice, durable, and waterproof set of binoculars. These are going to live in my backpack so I’ll always have them with me if I spot something I want to see closer while hiking. ... show more
