What a MAJOR disappointment!...I received my 2 file cabinets on Friday (2 days ago), and the attached photos were taken, immediately, as they they were taken out of the boxes. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE damage are seen on both file cabinets!! Before making this purchase, I read reviews and saw photos of damaged cabinets...I was hopeful that my cabinets would not be damaged...To my dismay, the damages to both cabinets were horrific...100 times worse than the pictures that I saw on the customer's reviews! Furthermore, the all 4 file cabinet drawers do not close and open properly. I feel like I have paid $788.00 for USED/DAMAGED/MALFUNCTIONING fIle cabinests! :( How many customers would pay shipping cost to return heavy furniture back to the manufacturer?...Not me, I do not want to have to pay another cent for this fiasco-of-a-purchase. I DESERVE a huge percentage off the cost of these 2 file cabinets. -I do not want to believe that the manufacturer sent me damaged furniture/file cabinets??... -Note: I paid for the cabinets to be assembled...Maybe the assemblers were half-sleeping when they assembled my file cabinets. :( or -Maybe the UPS shippers mishandled the boxes (with the cabinets enclosed)...because the boxes did not have labels that stated "handle with care"...or...."fragile". Whatever the case may been for the damage furniture, I feel that I deserve a significant discount for these items. The only things that I like about the cabinets are as follows: 1). the quality of the pressed/veneer wood is nice 2). the mahagony color is beautiful. Question: HOW can I appreciate these mahogony cabinets which are SEVERELY DAMAGED and have malfunctioning file cabinet drawers?!!??! I DO NOT WANT THIS REVIEW TO BE POSTED TO THE PUBLIC. Overall this is a decent file cabinet but has 2 major caveats: 1. While the interior depth of the cabinet is almost 22 inches, the actual interior width of each drawer is only 13 inches. There is around 8 inches of unused, empty space behind each drawer. The listed size of the cabinet at 36 inches wide and 23 inches deep is misleading. The actual drawer size are not listed anywhere. It does say the drawers will hold A4 size files but there are no diagrams or descriptions that explain the drawer sizes. 2. The drawer bottoms are flimsy paper/cardboard. There is a support bar under the middle of each drawer that should help but I don't expect it will meet the 70lb rating if items other than files are placed in the bottom. The rest of the cabinet is very sturdy with thick sides and top. A more solid bottom would have gone a long way. If you only plan to use this cabinet for files then you should be fine. Just note that the files will be stored left to right and that there are not two rows of front to back storage in each drawer like I expected based on the size. I did not have any shipping damage and assembly took me about an hour. ... show more

I've searched for the right office furniture and this is definitely the correct choice. Not only is the lateral filing cabinet sturdy but it allows you to file in two directions, long ways or facing forward at the same time. This isn't important to most people but for me it's two different types of files. PERFECT!! The drawers are solid and they look great too! These are bbf - Bush Business Furniture and I highly recommend these for commercial or home offices. Their customer service is outstanding and they are quick to cover any warranty issues. I speak from experience, I expected the runaround but instead it was immediate and precise. Kuddos to bbf for doing it right!! ... show more

Good Quality...would buy again. Shipping and packing was VERY GOOD. There wasn't a chip on any of the 3 pieces we bought with this set. If your like me you worry about shipping large items such as furniture because it so big it's easy to get damaged in shipping. All 3 pieces where packed excellent so nothing would damage any edge or corner. Very easy to put together also. We did a Desk, and a large filing cabinet and a small rolling filing cabinet in about 2 hours from start to finish with no problems whats so ever. Very good instructions and you can measure the screw sizes on the instruction to make sure all screws are the correct type if you are unsure. ... show more

This is by far the worst purchase I have ever made. This had no damage to packaging or the exterior of the file cabinet. The company shipped this with the top drawer broken. Pieces that had broken away at bottom of cabinet. No keys for lock. Screws in the pc had to be screwed in by me. I have trouble getting the drawers open. I am a single 69yr old. Of course there is no way to get this heavy item back into the huge dismantled container to return!!! So I’m stuck with this very poor quality file cabinet that I’m not sure is even usable!!! DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

I have purchased about 7 various pieces this Bush Business Furniture in Hansen Cherry. I am a bit neurotic when it comes to office furniture and I wanted something that would last. It had to be able to take the abuse of well….actually using it. I must say that I have been impressed so far. All of the sets came shipped on varying days from different shippers over a one week period. The packing is very impressive. Each piece of wood inside the box is wrapped in foam and/or foam like paper. One box appeared to have taken a beating, but no damage to the items. Several boxes weighed over 120lbs. Assembly varied depending on the item. If it had drawers, it took longer than a desk with two legs. Following the instructions was easy as long as you made sure you chose the correct fasteners for each step. (correct screws) They look very nice with thick laminate and they are extremely sturdy. If you want a commercial grade product at a fair price, look no further. ... show more
