Before I bought these gloves , I experienced a cold day when my finger froze. Then with these gloves my hands were warm. And I was able to take my hand out of the outer glove and keep the inner glove on as needed. My hands never got cold. Toggle is good too - it keeps out the cold.

Waterproof and warm. These weren't able to keep my fingers warm though even with the liners, but I'm beginning to think that's just how my hands are.. Cold, but it wasn't as bad as usual. Gloves fit perfect and work great! Plus the material seems pretty heavy duty so they should last. The liners don't work with a touch-screen though ... show more

These gloves are definitely higher quality than less expensive ones. In particular, the material on the palm is really nice and there's a fancy cinch on the wrists that allows you to tighten them so snow or cold air doesn't get in. The small pockets on the back of each glove are also a nice touch - big enough to fit a key, credit card and a license. I rated them "somewhat small" because I find the fingers to be rather stubby, relative to the overall size of these gloves. But I wear a size 8 and got a large and they fit just fine. The liner gloves are really nice too! I can easily imagine myself wearing them by themselves in the fall. Not only will they keep out a chill, but they're really attractive. The bumps on the palm and fingers that make them grippy are actually really pretty; I can imagine myself wearing the gloves upside down and showing off the pretty sparkly "backs." Neither the outer or inner gloves work on a smartphone though. You have to take your gloves off to work a touchscreen. ... show more

I bought these as I needed a high quality pair of gloves for a trip to Antarctica. These gloves were fantastic. They kept my hands warm and dry. The liner of comes with is not touch screen compatible but I just used another pair of touchscreen gloves (Isotoner). The gloves have a spot to insert a hand warmer packet, but I never needed them. I had gone to REI and tried on tons of pairs of gloves and bought these and I'm glad I did. Great purchase, great product. I know these will last me a very long time. ... show more

I live in WI and the winters are brutal. Temps reaching well below zero and I've been searching for gloves that will keep my hands warm. Most of the pairs of gloves I bought previously just didn't do the job and got damp from my hands sweating, and my fingers stayed cold. These gloves are well made! They fit just right, and no more cold hands. Ladies, if you are debating about getting these gloves, my reply to that.....spend the money, you'll be glad you did! Excellent feel without being ridiculously bulky with both lining and outer gloves worn at the same time. Warm with a couple extra clips to fasten onto your coat, each other, whatever. I dig the hand warmer zip pockets, although I'll probably only use them for cash or small easy-to-use items. Burton brand always delivers a quality pair. I got the W19 (as opposed to the 20's) for half the price and I have no complaints. ... show more
