I have a pretty heavy beard that I like to keep on the longish side, so keeping it groomed and moisturized is a priority for me. I've tried literally dozens of beard balms, conditioners, and oils over the years in search of the perfect one and can honestly say that Burt's Bees is one of the best. It's on the thick/heavy side so a little goes a long way: just a pea-sized amount rubbed between my palms is about the right amount to work into my beard after showering or washing my face. The smell is very pleasant, sort of a light herbal citrus blend. And because you need so little, the very generous 3 oz. tin will last a long time. I have tried many a balm for my year and a half old beard. I've finally found the one that has everything! Great scent that's not overpowering. It kind of reminds me of the scent the barber would use when I was knee high to a jack rabbit getting my ears lowered at the neighborhood barbershop. Softens my beard and makes it very manageable. Finally a manufacturer that knows that there are other natural things on earth besides nuts and trees for scents and oils that also makes a balm doesn't dry up 2 hours after application like another product I tried. Works very well, reasonably priced, all ingredients listed not "proprietary scent oil fragrance" with a warning to test beforehand. Been using it for a long time now before I wrote this review, just to make sure all is good. I purchased in mid January and it's now April. I will buy again.
