So far, so good. Just delivered today and the set-up was easy; just follow the step by step instructions. When you have prepared the Bunn CSB3TD coffee maker (maybe all of 5 minutes to run water through and set up your coffee grounds) do make sure the carafe is in position to received the brewed coffee - BEFORE - you shut the reservoir lid because shutting it starts the immediate brewing process. If you forget, open the lid and the brewing will stop. Clean spilled coffee, replace carafe and close reservoir lid again to continue the brewing. :D I used the same amount of coffee grounds I used with my previous 12 cup maker and it made a delicious cup of coffee which, BTW, was most welcome after a day of no coffee! (Previous coffee maker died) Based upon my experience, if you want quick, tasty coffee at an immediately drinkable temperature, purchase this Bunn CSB3TD coffee maker with confidence.

I always knew Bunn products were high quality, I could just never afford one before. I have had my pot for a week now and love it. First, to address the negative reviews. 1. There is no plastic smell 2. There is no plastic taste 3. The coffee is HOT I’m convinced these people were doing one of two things; trying to get Bunn into a lawsuit so they could settle for a lot more than the coffee pot cost or they were trying to convince you to buy another brand. Either way it’s the same as false advertising to me. This thing brews a hot pot of coffee quicker than you can complete your morning constitutional. These people complaining because the thing doesn’t have an auto brew setting, grow up! You can brew an entire pot in the time it takes a kuerig to give you one cup (not timed). But still, freaking grow up! Put your ground in and fill the pot. In the Morning dump the pot into the machine and wait a few seconds. The world is not coming to an end just yet. Yes, you have to leave it turned on if you don’t want to wait for the reservoir to heat up every time you use it, but small price to pay, I have solar, so can you, that will more than offset the power this thing could use. Besides, it takes more power to heat the water than it does to keep it warm (unless you only use it once a week or so). We make for to five pots a day in ours, so it’s fantastic. Oh, you better get the Bunn filters, the 8-12 cup filters you get at the grocery store won’t cut it. You need something deeper, something that’s designed to handle the amount of hot water this thing bathed your Coffee ground in. The others just can’t hack it.

Terrific coffee maker - keeps the water hot (I got the high altitude version since I live in CO) I also love the thermal carafe that keeps the coffee hot and fresh tasting for over an hour. My old Bunn was this model, but prior version - it started leaking after like 12 years? No complaints. I also like the new more modern style they have given it. There are a few improvements over the prior model as well - it has an indicator for how much water you have put into the reservoir before you close the lid to let it brew and the lid doesn’t have that rubber thing that was hard to clean on the old one - so easier to rinse it all out.

This is an excellent coffee maker for elevations above 4000 ft. Initially I was skeptical of the claim that this would brew a better cup, but now that I have this one I can vouch for it, the coffee is smooth and full bodied unlike coffee makers that are designed for lower elevations that brew weak and bitter tasting coffee when used at high altitude. I typically brew at a 1:15 - 1:16 ratio with a medium roast/medium fresh grind locally roasted coffee and with my old moccamaster I was consistantly getting a weak and bitter brew, I tried adjusting the grind and brew ratio to no avail, it would always come out either incredibly weak (with 1:18 or so) or overly bitter with higher ratios, it just wasn't good. I can't recommend this coffee maker enough, it brews an excellent batch of coffee in under four minutes and extracts the max from the ground beans without over-extracting. It's also a very simple machine that has little to go wrong with it which I can appreciate. Highly recommended.

The only good thing I can say about this overpriced coffee maker is it does make coffee quickly. That’s because you have to keep it plugged in and the water stays warm. Otherwise it’s cheap plastic. Not what I would expect for spending $170. And there is no warmer for the carafe so you have to count on the stainless steel carafe to keep it warm. I thought okay I will put it on my warming stove burner…but nope..instructions say not to put this carafe on any type of warming burner. Now I drink my coffee out of a thermal mug in the hope of keeping it warm while I drink it since it doesn’t stay that warm after it’s brewed. The coffee it brews is just okay. My morning coffee is important and I love a great tasting coffee. I use Starbucks French Roast for great flavor. My love of my morning coffee is the reason why I was willing to spend so much on a coffee maker. Otherwise I don’t have that kind of money to throw around if it’s not an important purchase to me. I totally regret buying this and wish I would have seen a review like this. I read quite a few before buying.

I bought this to replace a Mr. Coffee maker that was just too old and slow. This is no joke, fast brewing, quiet, and hot coffee. No sound makers, no fancy gadgets to dial in flavor/darkness. The only light is on the power button. I love it. It does not produce any steam (like my other coffee makers). I have made several full pots (10-cups) and each one quietly brewed in about 4 minutes, and produced excellent tasting coffee. I fresh grind each pot, and flavor does matter (see grinder in photo). Pay attention to the initial setup instructions, which is done without power. After that, once powered on, you will always have a heated reservoir of water that will be ready to brew partial or full quantity. Other things that I really like about this product: - pouring is done without removing nor adjusting the lid - angle for pouring is easy on the wrist (ergonomic) - temperature is hot (200F) is well maintained in the carafe for many hours after brewing - no button to press, just add a filter, coffee to the basket, and add the amount of water for the amount of coffee you want to brew; shut the lid and come back in a few minutes - very quiet - easy to clean - will work with standard filters (10 - 12 cup); although the Bunn filters are just a bit taller (1/4 inch); the package included about 25 Bunn filters - easy to remove, change out the filter basket, which can sit flat on a surface when adding fresh grounds Visit the Bunn website if you need more specific information on this product. They designed these to incorporate the same restaurant benefits of the commercial Bunn products, but sized and priced for the home consumer.

Have owned a couple different Bunns over the past 30 years and this is the best one I’ve had. We really enjoy the carafe, it changes the way we drink our coffee. We can bring the pot with us out on our deck and the coffee will stay hot. Coffee stays hot up to 4-6 hours. Unbelievable. Definitely recommend.
