Don’t be turned off by the price… this stuff last for YEARS. It’s kind if like baby powder and it only has one tiny pin-prick size hole in the top, so barely any powder comes out with each shake. (You could poke a bigger hole if you wanted.) I‘ve only bought a new bottle 3x in 10 years and each bottle still has some at the bottom. I just wanted to keep one in a travel bag and at my office. It’s the absolute best for vacation or revamping limp hair after a day at work. I use it a few times a week if I haven’t washed my hair and it’s great for absorbing oil + adding volume. I shake it on my roots/all over the top of my head and then pat/fluff/flip my hair so it disappears. Sometimes I shake it onto my brush and comb the underside of my hair if the back is greasy. It is NOT invisible when it goes on and if you shake too much in one spot your scalp may look white, but just fluff your roots or shake your head and it’ll blend in. I have used this on my hair no matter the color—box dye blue black, medium brown, and bleach blonde—it works for all colors as long as you fluff!

One bottle will last you a very long time. And if you can get a hold of a dry shampoo powder spray bottle, look for one listed as a PET bottle. I was able to sour one from my hairdresser and it works great for this product, and I do t waste any of the powder as it goes into the small bottle perfectly from the small opening at the top, and with a few taps , I can fit a lot of the powder into the spray PET bottle, (there are several on Amazon, which appear to have the same type of strange staggered apparatus that draws the powder up to the nozzle and sprays the powder out into a puff of finely distributed even cloud near the scalp, as one might see when using loose facial powder with a large hand held powder puff, or all-over hair spray) This product has a nice scent, that I would circle as floral, without being the dominant note, and is easily covered by any scented product that you to mask and layer over it. And it is easily blended with all of the major market brands of dry keratin colored fiber building powders, to give them a bit of a boost, and a lot more $ per ounce. Since they can get a bit pricey per month. I have tried adding this product directly to my Keratin fibers container, and it works fine. Your results may vary. Either way, I would use this product first, and then then add the colored fibers afterwards. Then use a bit of a finishing oil, as the dry shampoo tends to leave the hair looking slightly, well, dry. My choice is either a pump of Bumble and Bumble Save The Daytime Protective Repair Fluid, if you like a more sandlewood scent, Ref of Sweden REF Wonderoil (be very careful using this as too much goes a LONG way, but it’s amazing), or Pravana Hydra pearl oil. I also use Davines dry shampoos as a final step because I love the smells of the vanilla ( body setting) & grapefruit (volume). As someone with very thin hair, it’s taken me years to get people too see me, and not my very thin hairline. I attribute this success to the magic and illusion that these products have helped me achieve, and pret-a-powder is a big one in the process.

When I recieved this in the mail I was shocked to see how tiny the bottle was. However, a little bit of product goes a very long way on my fine hair. As a busy mom, I need to not be washing and blow drying every day. It has fragrance that I would describe as pleasant, a spicy floral, rather high end. My hair is dark but it does not leave it looking white or too dusty. The best part is that it absorbs the extra oil but also gives hair nice volume and body, best described as "grab." I catch myself using it to keep updos in place and a ponytail will stay put all day with this stuff. Works extremely well, just very expensive for the amount received! Update on 1/11/15: I think this product truly excels under the following conditions: 1. Apply the night before to all the necessary areas. Work it in with your fingertips like you are shampooing. Don't brush. 2. Sleep on it. When you get up in the morning you will notice less white in your hair, but it will still be present. 3. Using the densest boar bristle brush that will work for your hair, brush vigorously, section by section, starting at the scalp. Continue brushing till all the white is gone. Turn your head upside down and brush too. 4. Flip your hair back and run your fingers through it. 5 minute supermodel hair voila! One thought: I think some times the over-application issue is due to the design of the bottle. I discovered at the end of the product you can pry the "plug" with the hole in it out to get to the last bit. I am going to try using a blush brush to apply it lightly for those days when I forget to do it the night before.

I’ve tried many DS’s- this one works fast and doesn’t leave my hair gross- I love the smell too and makes my hair thicker- love it.

This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used. I have bought three bottles and they last so long - at least 7 or 8 months compared to just a few uses for most aerosolized dry shampoos. Makes my hair feel actually clean and gives great volume, scent is fairly light and not too overpowering

I have a good amount of longer hair that is fine. I get oily and flat looking by the end of the day. Can never wear my hair down at day 2 and by day 3 I have to shower because it looks awful at the roots. This has really given me many days of a more normal looking root and extending the time between washes. It's great for texture and volume and I usually put it on as soon as I dry my hair. The only down side is the smell. It's overwhelming and smells like old lady perfume. I'd love an unscented option...or lavender.
