This is a great lamp on a budget. It looks nice and has a heavy, sturdy base. I love the dimmer feature. A lot of lamps claim to have a dimmer but really have 3 or 4 brightness settings. This one truly dims. It gets very bright, which I wanted because the room is dark. But it also gets very dim, which I wanted for nursing in the middle of the night. I have a few minor gripes. I say minor because this lamp is so affordable. 1) It’s very gold. It would be nice if it was more of an antique-y gold or brassy. It’s just very bright which is fine for my kid’s room, but I wouldn’t like in an adult space. 2) Photo 2: there’s some kind of scratch at the top of the taller pole just under the globe. 3) Photo 3: the on/off/dimmer switch is a different gold color than the rest of it. It’s less noticeable in person. 4) Photo 4: there is a circular piece at the bottom of the pole where it screws into the base that is silver/nickel in color and stands out obviously. A couple things of note: the cord is black (a clear cord would be nice) and the globes are plastic. That one surprised me. It definitely makes it feel cheaper in your hands but it looks the same. And for my purposes it’s probably good since I have it near a wall behind a rocking chair. Overall it’s a great lamp for the price. ... show more

Lamp itself is nice, not sure how the shade will work because the fabric is rolled up and be wrapped around the metal to make the shade. Never seen anything like it

Nice product as a whole, but you better put aside at least an hour to put it together. It takes a lot more than 5 minutes, as the ad says. Also I used a cordless drill, cause of you use the tiny skrew driver they give you, you'll be there all day. Easy direction's though.

2 days after building the lamp, a spider egg sack hatched hundreds of baby spiders all over the lamp shade. Otherwise a good table lamp that was easy to build.
