This is a well made, but rather thin rug. The rug is soft, with a very short slightly fuzzy 'pile'. In the past, we've had this type of area rug arrive shrink-wrapped, where it is almost impossible to fold it up once it has fully expanded. With this rug, it is surprisingly easy to fold up into a manageable size for compact storage. I was actually able to fit the rug into a standard backpack in case I ever need to take to a laundromat for washing (Our machine has a central agitator which would make laundering at home difficult). I am not typically interested in faux marble designs, but I love how the light colors in this carpet really brighten up the room. Because we have dogs with muddy paws, we would never really consider using a carpet with such light colors because it would become dull and dirty so quickly. However, the abstract marble design on this rug does a good job of adopting any new paw prints and integrating them into the design. We will still need to launder the rug regularly, but that should be much easier than attempting to wash any of our other rugs. The rug has thousands of little rubbery dots on the bottom to act as a non-slip backing. If the rug were smaller, I don't know how effective the backing would be with dogs running through the house, but because the carpet is so large (5X7), it doesn't tend to slide around the way our unbacked rugs do. The backing on the rug is not thick like it would be on an outdoor rug, but was designed to be minimal to make for easier laundering. The rug is not heavy enough for vacuuming with an upright vacuum, but could probably be lightly vacuumed with one of those small robotic vacuums. We actually sweep our rug with a broom, which seems effective because of the short pile. I especially like the stitching that goes around the border of the rug. Rather than being left 'open', the entire perimeter has been sewn 'closed' with attractive stitching that adds an element of sophistication to an otherwise simple area rug.

I got this for my front porch but wanted to take a picture of it for everyone in my living room. It’s pretty lightweight for this size rug. It was easy to fold up and put back into the bag. The colors match the original picture pretty well. If you’re looking for high quality this isn’t it. But for my purpose it’s perfect!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this rug! First by the box that it came in (I expected it to be rolled up), but next by the feel of it. It is a really pleasant-to-the-touch rug! Right away my child jumped on it and started rolling around noting how soft it is. She wants it for her room, which is a fine compliment for any rug!! It is a very low-pile rug, and is pretty thin, but not in a bad way necessarily; it seems well crafted. There are some creases from it having been folded up, but they started to disappear almost immediately, and will no doubt be unnoticeable within a day or so. Also the fact that it claims to be machine washable is a real boon! I will try that as soon as it needs it, and will absolutely revise my review if needed, but there were no apparent odors or reasons to wash it immediately, so we'll cross that bridge when we get to it! Admittedly, I don't buy a lot of rugs, so I wasn't really sure if this is a good value at $50 or not. However, I poked around the web and it seems commensurate with most rugs in the range. Sure, you can find cheaper, and you can also spend many thousands more if you're so inclined - but I'd say it's a reasonably good value, and I'd pay fifty dollars for it without any hesitation!

Very soft washable rug. If you unfamiliar with washable rugs they are traditionally thin so they can be washed, if you are in the market for a thick rug I would buy a non-washable version. This rug came folded in a box, and the picture is taken right after being laid out. It totally flattened within 24 hours of being down. I love how soft it is, it’s like putting a rubberized backing on a fuzzy blanket and using it as a rug. It appears true to color from the listing; this is a 5 by 7 in style “Taupe” I am happy with color. I do wish the printing had sharper lines but it’s not that bad. A note on Vacuuming: I own several washable rugs and they all vacuum the same, it’s much easier to vacuum on the release suction setting and use the hard floor setting 1. It’s also easier to only go one direction instead of the regular way of back and forth. Again, this type of rug thin, if you don’t want a rug that might be slightly annoying to vacuum, you should probably spend more money on a non-washable, rolled furniture store rug. Overall I am satisfied with the rug, I love all my washable rugs and this one is no different. I would purchase more of this brand with my own money.

This is a pretty rug with soft, neutral colors and a modern abstract design. The color scheme works perfectly in my office and blends well with other décor. The texture was a little surprising. It has a felt-like surface, which isn’t what I expected from a traditional rug. It feels soft right now, but it’s also very thin, with a thin rubber-style backing. Because of that, it doesn’t seem like it will be extremely durable. I think it would work well in low-traffic areas like an office, bedroom, or reading nook, but it probably wouldn’t hold up as well in a busy dining room or living room. The good news is that the price is very reasonable, so it feels like a fair value if you’re using it in a lighter-use space. Overall, it’s a nice looking rug that works well for my office, and it will do the job for as long as it lasts.
