Indoors or out, the Harland Boxwood is a head-turner. Native to Asia and Europe, these tiny roots can grow to four feet tall in a natural habitat. In your home however, the Harland stands perfectly petite and easily cultivated as a hedge or topiary. An evergreen cultivar in a family of over 70 boxwoods, the Harland knows how to stand out. With glossy leaves and a light-colored trunk, the Harland blooms unique yellow flowers in the spring. Known for its adaptability, the Harland Boxwood will thrive in direct and indirect sunlight, making this an ideal accent piece to complement any space. the plant arrived timely and packaged well. the plant has good protection surrounding it. plant was already watered when it arrived so it looked fresh and green when i opened the box. almost not much work to be done as it is already made for display. i bought the plant when they had a sale so the price is worth it. i was impressed how the retailer prepared the plant really well. it was so easy for me to follow the instructions in growing it (included in the box especially i never grown bonsai tree before). it's been a month now and the plant started getting bushy and started having pink flowers so looks like i'm doing well for now. once or twice a week, i bring the plant outside to get some morning sunshine. i would recommend this retailer to anyone.

Dead within a week

Died within a week of arrival. I tried to give it time to recover, thinking it was just shock from shipping, but nothing I did could preserve it. I have half a dozen bonsai that I tend to currently and I know how to keep plants alive - this one never stood a chance. Unfortunate, because the pot and tree itself was beautiful when it arrived. Would have gotten a refund or exchange but I was too nice and waited until over 30 days had passed before I gave up on trying to save the little guy.

Damaged container, came with weeds. Not gift-worthy. Disappointed.

The tree was packaged well for shipping but I immediately saw that the pot had a very noticeable chip. This was a gift for my hubby so this was really disappointing for me. Given how they carefully packed the small bonsai, why would they send someone a damaged product. The small tree appeared to be healthy but it didn't come with more detailed instructions for how to care for this particular species. (It would also have helped if it came with basic unboxing instructions.) Unlike the example shown in the product description, the bonsai didn't have any moss growing around the tree. It had some small pebbles with a few pieces of green colored fertilizer and bare patches on the surface. After a few days, I noticed some growth all around the surface and they turned out to be oxalis type weeds! These are deeply rooted weeds that are hard to get rid off and can spread very quickly to the rest of my garden. I have to keep a constant eye on this plant to keep the weeds in check. I am including some photos below. Given the poor quality of this bonsai tree, I requested a refund.
