    • The machine is a basic light weight machine.

The machine has a good light over the sewing area which I like a lot. It came with a good variety of accessories, but no lint brush. The needle threader did not work for me I had to thread the needle manually. The main issue regarding this machine is the bobbin must be threaded carefully or the stitches will not lock properly/ Also it takes time to set the tension correctly which will need to be changed depending on what thickness of fabric you want to sew. You can only use bobbins made specifically for this machine, four came with the machine, but they don't hold as much thread as other bobbins and seem smaller. The needle in the machine was quite thin, however, it did come with three extra needles that were thicker. it is a lightweight machine likely unable to handle thick denim or heavy fabrics. I recommend going to your local sewing machine repair shop that sells refurbished hardier American made machines. It supposed to be American made but the drop bar is plastic. It comes with a very good manual but the writing is small, some might need a magnifier. I changed my review from 3 star to 5 star because I learned from utube how to use the machine needle threader. IT REALLY WORKS AND IS VERY USEFUL. ... show more

I got this for my wife (age 39) as a gift to replace her older Kenmore. She's a big fan of it. She says it runs much smoother and quieter. And it doesn't have a billion options, like the more complicated ones.
