I purchased 2 of the Britax Poplar car seats, one for my car and 1 for my husband's car. They have served us so well with my daughter. I'm hoping that they haven't expired by the time we need them for our next child, but if so I will purchase 2 more. These seats are durable, while still being well padded and comfortable for your child. when the pads are machine washed they're like new. We know because my daughter got sick and vomited all over one of them and you couldn't tell one bit if you saw the seat today. We were able to wipe everything clean and wash the padding with no issues. I can't say enough positive things about this car seat. They are very heavy, which is why we bought 2 and we do not travel with them on planes or trains for that reason as well. However, I think that goes back to the durability of the seats. They also can be adjusted to the perfect recline for safety and comfort very easily when needed. And although it isn't a $100 car seat, it's not unreasonably priced either, especially for the value. I didnt know it was possible to love a car seat so much. Installing takes literally seconds with the easy latch system and it is SO SECURE!! Like it seriously doesnt budge an inch. Love that it has two cup holders and is super comfy for my kiddo. Taking all the pieces off to wash is a bit of a project, but not that big of a deal. Its a little annoying that the shoulder pads dont come off for washing (at least I've tried a bunch of times and dont think they can???) BUT they got completely clean with a quick washcloth scrub so I am satisfied with that. I feel like my kid is totally safe in this seat!! ... show more

We upgraded our four month old to this as his Chicco key fit 35 was getting a little small. The grey color looks great and seems like it will keep stains away better than black. This is much more comfortable than the Chicco car seat. Our baby can move around better and includes several levels of recline. After lots and lots of research we ended up picking this car seat over the Graco extend to fit. So glad we did. It's such a high quality seat and has much more padding and feels a lot nicer than the Graco premier infant seat that was twice as much. Will but another for our extra car.

I like it, but buy a dark color. The light silver color shows every single thing your kid drops, drools, slops, spills, spits or pees onto it. The upside is you can definitely tell when it needs washed; no guesswork there. Kids are gross. No need to verify that with a light colored anything.
