The Emblem Convertible Car Seat is safe and comfortable for your growing child while you're on the go. Car seat installation is a breeze with push button Latch connectors and built in lock offs. Designed with Britax safety technologies, the Emblem car seat features the patented Britax SafeCell Impact Protection system which includes two layers of side impact protection, a steel frame, impact absorbing base, and forward movement reducing v shaped tether. The Emblem Convertible Car Seat is made with two strong layers of side energy absorption; a foam lined shell and head rest will shield your child from side impacts in the event of a collision. Plus, foam padding and two recline positions keep your b aby comfy and cozy along the way, while the 10 position easy adjust harness and headrest allows you to never have to rethread again. The Emblem car seat can be used rear facing 5 40 pounds and forward facing 20 65 pounds, child standing height 49" or less. Car seat dimensions 18.5" W x 26" H x 21" D. 10 position harness slot heights 8.5" to 17.5". FAA approved.

Thus is our second Britax convertible seat. We had a Boulevard for 8 years, no accidents, it survived wonderfully. This seat is the same design as our old one except it doesn’t have the extra side impact protection. I actually prefer that, because with those sides, Boulevard was difficult to take on a plane. The Emblem is also a bit lighter, also an advantage when traveling with it. I picked specifically the old style buckles, not the new single-click ones, because those harnesses have been reported to have safety issues. Also I like that this seat is much more reasonable on the price, while at the same time, I do not see any difference in quality of materials, craftsmanship or convenience than our old Boulevard. And, it tested the best in safety ratings, outcompeting many more expensive models out. On ease of use: if it’s your first carseat, it’ll be a challenge no matter what until you get the hang of it. I couldn’t even get the seat buckles right when we took our baby from the hospital the first time - a nurse had to help me… Read the manual, watch a video, and once you get the hang if it, installation is 10-15 mins, pretty straightforward and pain free. The buckles and height adjustment is very convenient. I have washed the covers and buckles on this seat multiple times (the buckles ARE removable and washable.) - On Hand wash/gentle cycle. Everything looks like new after you wash it. It’s a long and complicated process to take all the covers off, but that’s because they are made to be super comfortable, well attached, and safe. Once you’ve done it a few times though, it’s not too bad. But I love that EVERY part, cover, and crevice can be reached and wiped, getting the seat to like new. I have the britax boulevard but needed another car seat for husbands car and to use while flying so wanted something with the same safety rating but lighter. This seat is it. It is only 19lbs but has same safety rating as her everyday britax. Plus it was easy to carry in britax travel bag as a backpack. Added bonus she likes both seats. ... show more

Purchased this for our first baby and knew we wanted the same one for our new baby. So easy to clip in to the seat and adjusting the straps is so much easier than a lot of car seats we've used! ***HUGE bonus*** the velcro that holds the straps up so you aren't always having them fall into the seat as soon as you place the baby in! We took everything apart to wash one day and discovered that one of the wings of the headrest was broken! Other Britax models seem to have a plastic support piece behind the headrest wings (looks that way in pictures) that would keep it from breaking, but this one doesn't. I have a Ford escape leg room is ok for now wold be great If I had a bigger car/ update!!!!!! 🙃 idk if it's just my carseat but it's so hard to recline I have to readjust straps n things... so I feel it's a product defect for me.

This is a mixed review. For me, safety is most important, convenience high second lol. This car seat had highest test crash results, second to one graco model. It only had 3 positions for rear facing.. once installed, rear facing (at the farthest back) still has him sitting crazy high. You do not get a level indicator, I miss that. The britax advocate has many reclining positions. This car seat is more narrow, and had a more shallow seat. I am one that keeps my babies rear facing until age 3. He doesn’t even look remotely close to being able to do that. He’s 12 months and 30” and looks squished. He’s only 18lbs 7oz. (He’s tiny) Install, is pretty good. He’s my third kid, so I’m no stranger to car Seats. They have two separate straps for latches, so you can really pull and tighten each side. Took me a minute to realize I had really righted one side more than the other, which resulted it in be slanted a little. I have mixed feelings. I like it, but I don’t see him fitting in this long. I’ll need to test my 2.5 year old. If my britax advocate crash tested higher, I would have purchased another one of those. For 2022, they didn’t place very high. 5/10. Where as this emblem, was 8.5/10. Big difference to me. (I have chicco and dionos for other car seats) ... show more

We were able to get this car seat on sale just before Prime Days. I am impressed at the value. My son is large for his age, 30 inches and 23lbs at 9 months. We opted to transition him out of his infant seat and we know Britax has a great safety history, so we purchased this seat. We do not have any regrets. My son fits in it perfectly, it is a quality material, and the install was easier than the Graco Extend2Fit we purchased for our other car. My son doesn’t seem upset with the recline position and his head doesn’t bob around either. I wish we would have purchased two of these and skipped the Graco. ... show more
