Everything works great except for the spinner disk. When spreading lime pellets they get stuck underneath the disk and jams the disk. The good news is that the spreader is built solid enough that the handle or gears do not break when it jams. When spreading fine grain fertilizer a significant amount of product collects under the spinner disk and when you tip the spreader it all falls out onto one spot in the grass. ... show more

I got this unit to spread seed and fertilizer along the edges of my property, filling in gaps from my broadcast spreader. I can be fairly precise in applications with this unit, and should help me achieve edge to edge look I'm going for.

This is a very nice hand held spreader. I have two minor observations. First, it may be difficult for a person with small hands to hold the unit, squeeze the trigger, and turn the handle. I don't know for some reason thought it was bigger and the angle is wrong when you hold it in your left hand it needs to tilt up more in the front.
