I really really know knives, knife steels, and how to sharpen any knife or edge hair popping scary sharp. Gone through a drawer full of "budget priced" kitchen knives the wife bought that never were that sharp from the factory and took a herculin effort to re-sharpen and got dull faster than a handbag discussion with the wife. I have now used all three of these knives often enough and re-sharpened them enough times to render a experience based evaluation worthy of anyone's consideration. So based on reading a lot of the reviews of these knives I gave them a try. Let me say they are in my opinion the absolute best general purpose kitchen specific three knife set for the money you can buy. They came in MY opinion only barely sharp enough to be used effectively as kitchen knives for meal preparation. So I broke out what I believe is the finest knife sharpening system on earth for under $100 my Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpening system. Started with 40 strokes per side with the medium stone, then finished up with 40 strokes a side with the fine stone and these knives were now absolutely hair popping shaving razor sharp. They hold their edge extremely well for for several large scale meal preparations cutting up everything from steak to watermelon to dicing any veggie you wish. They are also extremely well made and if cared for properly and kept sharp will give you an indefinite period of great service in your kitchen. I can not recommend these knives strongly enough to anyone looking for a great all around general purpose the knife kitchen set, but only if you are capable of and willing to keep them sharp as the secret to a razor sharp knife is to never let it get dull in the first place. Great knives at a great price.

Super sharp and perfect for regular cooking. The tip of the small knife has already been broken. It needs a better durable quality. Cuts super clean though. I'd still purchase.

These have been amazing through 6 months of daily use. They are sturdy and easy to maintain a super sharp edge. My last knives were from Commercial Restaurant Supply and these compare nicely.

These knives have a nice weight to them. Easy to handle - they fit nicely in your hand. The quality is solid. They are good looking knives that come in a nice case. I have had them for a few weeks and am quite happy. No rust - but the key to this as with most knives are to wash them by hand and immediately dry them. Like all the knives I own, I would not put these in a dishwasher.
