This espresso machine has been awesome. We’ve owned it for about 9 months and so far have had no issues with it. My wife always loved to go by Dutch bros and Starbucks for breve lattes and whatever else, but since buying this she has not been back to either of those places, she thinks the espresso drinks out of this machine taste better. I like the occasional latte as well and being able to have a fresh drink in a matter of minutes(especially in the mornings) is pretty cool. Also, if you like iced lattes this thing is great in the summer. I think it’s the only one that does cold shots and it does them well. If you’re trying to decide what kind to get and you care about ease of use, go with this one… I can’t stress enough how user friendly and easy this thing is to operate. Very little work needed for high quality espresso beverages.

We were really excited about this machine. The Oracle Jet makes excellent coffee when it works. Beautiful design, automatic features, and a great milk system. Then it auto-updated. After the update, the machine completely stopped tamping. We tried everything: full reset, multiple grind settings, all drink profiles, deep cleaning, and even holding the portafilter to the left like forums recommend. Nothing worked. The shots were watery, fast, and had zero crema. The pucks were loose no matter what we did. Customer support forums confirmed we’re not alone — the most recent firmware update seems to have broken the tamping logic. The machine grinds, but doesn’t tamp, which defeats the entire purpose of an automated espresso system. We returned it and ordered a replacement. New unit arrives tomorrow, and we will not be connecting it to Wi-Fi to avoid any future firmware failures. This is a beautiful machine and clearly has potential, but the fact that an update can disable core functionality — and there’s no way to roll it back — is a major red flag. If you buy it, disable auto-updates or skip Wi-Fi entirely. Great coffee isn’t worth espresso PTSD.

So, having lost my Breville Touch to my kid, I decided to upgrade. This beast is AWESOME! Worth every penny of the money saved versus buying cafe’ drinks at $5/day x 365=$1,825.00. Including milk and other necessities, you’ll be at a break-even at about 1-1/2 years after buying it. Pros: Ease of setup, ease of use, auto grind/puck compression feature, the best screen interface in the industry by far, excellent cafe-quality of each of the multitude of coffee drinks, great selection of options for milk frothing, water tank is large enough for a bunch of cups and/or drinks Cons: weight of machine (but it has the wonderful move-assist function to offset the weight issue), pucks have a tendency to remain in the PortaFilter even after banging the life out of the thing (requires fine-adjustments of ground courseness and volume), wanted a 2 oz cup of coffee but they limit the machine to 8oz

The Breville Oracle Jet makes it incredibly easy to create high-quality espresso drinks without needing to learn all the complicated details of espresso making. Everything feels streamlined and intuitive, which is perfect for someone who wants amazing coffee at home without becoming a full-time barista. It’s also surprisingly fast when making multiple drinks, making mornings or entertaining much easier. The automatic milk frothing is fantastic, and the auto-purging steam wand is such a convenient feature that keeps cleanup simple. Beautiful machine, excellent performance, and very user-friendly.

Expensive, yes, but well worth it. I came from a De Longhi Magnifica S, and using the same coffee and water, the taste you get from the Breville is miles better. Still can't do Latte Art with the milk from the frother, despite what the YouTube videos show, but I'll take great tasting coffee over pretty foam pictures any day.

6 months in and the touchscreen won’t work reliably. I did factory reset, cleaned the screen -and it still requires unplugging and replugging to get the screen to work and then it’s only temporary. I opened a case online but Breville didn’t respond. I’ve been “on hold “ for 2 hours waiting for technical help and I was 92 in line for chat help. For 2000$. So far the coffee isnt any better than my Breville Barista, the grinder is fussy (my Barista wasn’t) and the touchscreen is beyond unreliable. My Barista lasted 10 years before we had problems and this one lasted less than 6 months. I will say the self tamping is nice and using the machine is a lot cleaner- when it works. I wouldn’t recommend it- it’s just not worth the money

Absolutely worth it. If you want effortless, no hassle, café quality espresso at home, this machine delivers. The cold brew and cold espresso features are what sold me they produce consistently smooth, flavorful shots with zero bitterness or sour notes. Every cup tastes balanced and reliable. The Milk IQ system is impressive as well. I’m still have some fine tuning as i want just a little creamier texture, but it’s already performing great. Overall, I’m genuinely impressed with how easy it is to use and how consistently excellent the results are.
