Top Amazon Reviews

  • Love it
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
I allowed myself a couple of months of use before reviewing. This is a fantastic combo microwave/oven/air fryer. The oven and air fryer work beautifully. I also have had no issues with the microwave function either. It's easy to clean out. The soft close is perfect. The noise is barely audible. I have to check every now and then to make sure it's still going (my GFCI outlet randomly trips occasionally and needs to be reset. Something about the crappy building wiring. 🙄) My only complaint is the end beep is quite loud even on the lowest setting. Yet, because of the barely audible noise when it's running, I keep the end beep on so that I know when things are done. I have no major complaints. I've made chicken, biscuits, steak, roast, veggies, etc and no issues so far. Before I purchased it I read quite a number of reviews stating it takes longer to heat/cook food. And that's true to some extent but it's not ridiculously so. Adding an additional 30 seconds (1 minute of I want it really piping hot) to reheat a meal. And a few additional minutes to the oven or air fryer. I made biscuits last night and I added an additional 2.5 minutes to the oven time as I wanted them to brown a bit more. Made some air fryer chicken wings and added another 5 minutes. Things cook differently across various appliances, constantly opening the door, the interior size of the appliance, the appliance power and even the environment you're cooking in all play a part in cooking time. You have to learn how to adjust your cooking times accordingly. ... show more

  • Best controls of any microwave ever!
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
I've hunted for years for a microwave with intuitive controls like this one has. I'm mainly talking about just the microwave feature, although I also had no problem using the controls for the air frying or baking, but my problem there is figuring out which mode and which pan to use and for how long and the temp, which is not a controls issue. Back to the micro controls. You just put your stuff on the plate, stick it in, and push the top time dial for as many times as you need to add up to the minutes, or just once and turn to the right or left to increase or decrease. You can increase or decrease the time at any moment during the cooking, too. You can also increase or decrease the power level at anytime during the cooking (or before, as long as you have closed the door). I do not believe I have ever seen this in any other microwave, and it is super for starting foods off fast then slowing them down if they look like they are getting done but you want the center to cook longer. This is so intuitive and useful! The "a bit more" button is also cool, as it adds more time based upon a percentage of the time previously set. So it's not always "add 30" but might be as much as 1.5 minutes (I don't cook for long in the micro, so I do not know if it ever gets more than that.) But if you press it again, you will get a shorter "bit more." Clever. I do wish there was a button to grill the tops of garlic bread at the end of air frying them, as I haven't figured out how to get the same crispiness of the crust without drying out the inside of the bread as I get on a "real" oven, yet. Neither air fry or fast combi seems to do it, and bake takes as long as a real oven. There is a grill button hidden behind the door for some reason. I will experiment with that one of these days. I guess they figure most folks won't use this as a "grill" which is true, but maybe just to crisp up the top of baked goods? edit: I forgot to mention TWO (2) other favorite features. 1. The fan cool off. I have always left my door open a bit after using microwaves to allow the odors and steam to escape and the inside to cool off. This one leaves the fan on for a short time to do that for you so you don't have to remember to come back and shut the door. 2. speaking of the door, all you have to do to shut it while carrying something with both hands is gently tap it with a shoulder or elbow to get it to move nearly closed and it quietly tugs itself shut! talk about cool! ... show more

  • Looks great, terrible at everything!
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
It looks great! It stops there, and it becomes an expensive source of rerget! I bought it because of its Breville good looks and because the automatically closing door would be a conversation piece. I had read that this feature tends to break, so I ponied up for an almost $80 extended warranty. The clock is not backlit, so you say, "OK, it's still a good microwave, right?" As a microwave it is awful, despite the specs on paper. It fills with steam every time, ostensibly because the steam sensors are what assess the doneness, then it vents loudly for some time afterwards. In practice, you will taste the polish sausage you cooked last night in your oatmeal in the morning. The power, on paper, is middling to good, and it has an inverter to heat things evenly and smoothly. But the defrost algorithm browns the edges and leaves the meat frozen. Why? WHY? The chocolate melting algorithm inexplicably jumps from 8 oz to one pound, Nothing in between is allowed! Why? WHY? The air fryer goes to a 3 minute preheat at the start [OK] but when you open to stir things it goes to back to preheat again, not to reach a particular temperature, but the same 3 minutes, like a zombie. Why? WHY? Everything takes much longer to cook than it would in a dedicated air fryer, which negates the purpose altogether, especially because the tray surface is enough to cook a meal for an emaciated child on a diet. Forget about making toast in this, as you will miss your morning meeting. The grill and the oven are similarly slow to heat and quick to aggravate. The heating element for the grill is a bear to clean, and having to unlock the thing every time you use it is infinitely annoying. Now, my toaster is back on the counter and so is my air fryer. I use this expensive thing mostly to heat my tea, and I didn't return it because my wife would never stop saying, "I told you not to buy it!" Also, I foolishly threw away the box on the first day. I could not recommend this at all. ... show more

  • Incredible appliance!! Incredible appliance!!
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
As a single person, I often prepare small meals and am not a fan of using the big oven. The Breville Combi-wave is the exact right size and frankly way outperforms the big oven!! The microwave features are the same as any microwave but the other features are where this thing dominates! It also fits nicely on my countertop without feeling like it overwhelms the space. I thought I would put it to the ultimate test - cook a pizza well! I had a medium size (14”) take and bake pizza from the grocery store (not frozen). I didn’t have a pizza pan so I just put it on the little round rack that came with the oven. The pizza hung over the side by about an inch and while cooking it drooped a bit on one side but it held up pretty well all things considered. The pizza was cooked to perfection! Hot melty cheese and an awesome crisp crust (I cooked it for about five minutes longer than the directions suggested.) I can’t wait to see how it performs on all my winter cooking but can only imagine that it will be amazing! I thought this was a bit expensive compared to other, less feature rich microwaves but I couldn’t be happier about the quality and performance!! If you’re on the fence about this microwave - do it, get it, you won’t be disappointed!! ... show more

  • Unreliable and Warranty Difficult, and Painful Unreliable and Warranty Difficult, and Painful
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
Sep 2025 Follow Up: The last replacement oven (indicated below) sent by Breville is still going strong. Microwave and air fryer functions are both used frequently. The door soft self close function has failed, so now requires a full push to close; although slamming shut might work if you don't care about damaging the oven further. My daughter's first (and only) Breville 3 in 1 oven is still performing flawlessly. Hit and miss I guess. Jan 2023 Follow Up: 3rd replacement oven holding up well, but we no longer use it as much to air-fry like original oven. Afraid the design too fragile for heavy use beyond simple microwave oven. Warranty expired and cost too much to replace if it fails again. So I now own a greatly over-priced microwave oven, but keep a cheap replacement from Walmart on hand in case it fails again. Original Sep 2021 Review: Loved oven, second one we purchased. My daughters oven bought in Feb 2021 continues to work perfectly. Second oven purchased in Apr 2021 died in July. Returned for warranty repair/replacement which was handled quickly and painlessly. Only complaint is it could not be handled online...required about an hour on the phone, after several days attempts. However, the remanufactured oven sent as a replacement was badly damaged and not functioning as should (see attached pics/vid). The oven I returned was in like-new condition. The remanufactured piece of junk Breville replaced it with is completely unacceptable. I have notified Breville that I am rejecting their replacement oven and have asked for a new or like-new oven (same condition as mine), or a refund. Will update this review based on Breville's response. Update: My attempt to reply to Breville via email failed. Ended in a dead-letter office I think. The only email address for Breville I have is a no-reply... I'm irritated that I can find no active email address anywhere for Breville to deal with this issue. Breville claims to have online chat available for support assistance, but the half-dozen times I've tried finds them "currently offline". I resent having to go through the multi-day phone call attempts to reach Breville Support. Arrrrggggghh! Update to follow assuming I can reach Breville Support. Update #2: Finally reached Breville over phone. Only 40 min. wait this time. Had me send pics to an unpublished email address and immediately agreed to replace the oven yet again. They sent another UPS shipping label and after repacking and another trip to UPS...back it went to Breville. About a week later, I received a new (not remanufactured) oven. Opened the top of the box and what do you know...a big dent in the top of the oven, worse than the previous remanufactured unit! Sent new pics to Breville using same secret email address as a reply to all on my previous email and am now awaiting their response. Will update. Breville reached out by phone and left a voicemail message. So, back to the phone I had to go. Quicker this time, only 15 minutes to reach someone in support. They again had me send pics to validate the damage and the ser # off the oven. Since I didn't remove it from the box, I read them the ser # on the outside of the box. Good enough for them to manage inventory, I though it was good enough to give back to them. Long story short, they wanted to send yet another oven (the 4th), but I grew weary and leery and requested a refund. Breville denied since I purchased the oven through a 3rd party (Amazon). Reluctantly, I accepted the 4th oven. So again they sent a UPS mailing label, and I again repackaged and traveled to our nearest UPS store. The 4th oven took about 9 days to arrive from return date of 3rd oven. The 4th oven arrived without any apparent exterior damage, and has been working okay for 2 days now. I still think the soft-close door doesn't function as well as my original oven, and noticed that this morning the door hung up about an inch shy of closing requiring me to shut it manually from there a second time. It seems to me to be a roll of the dice whether you get a good oven delivered. In my opinion, the oven is way over-priced given the significant issues I've experienced. I would definitely NOT buy this oven again and therefore do NOT recommend. ... show more

  • A beautiful machine that “walks its talk”! A beautiful machine that “walks its talk”!
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
A BEAUTIFUL appliance, but so much more than just another ‘pretty face’. This Breville combo microwave/convection/air-fryer performs like a dream. No confusing operational modes, this Breville works in a simple and straightforward manner. You turn the dial to the “cooking mode” you want to use, and you turn the dial to set the exact amount of “time” you want (to the minute). Couldn’t be simpler. If that isn’t enough, there are even “shortcut” buttons on the inside of the door such as “melting chocolate” and “melting butter” (and many more shortcut functions). There is even a “keep warm” and “turn off turntable” function. Cooks, warms, defrosts, roasts, and air-fries well beyond my expectations. The door is “soft close” and I am still amazed by that EVERY TIME I use this machine. That door will never slam shut—only quietly soft close. The timer bell on this Breville is not an obnoxious loud alert, but rather a soft chime that would be welcomed in a Buddhist monastery. There is even a “volume control” for it. I just cannot say enough. As it sits on my counter—a beautiful appliance, dressed in gleaming highest quality stainless steel. The price point was bit startling when I first saw it. But I’m so glad I followed my instinct about Breville products. If I had known this three-way microwave was going to be so efficient and beautiful, I would have thrown my old microwave out BEFORE it stopped working. (Not kidding!) ... show more

  • Intuitive interface
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
This is an expensive kitchen gadget but well worth the price. It replaced a stinky IP air fryer & a noisy microwave in one swoop. We have an open concept house so noise reductive appliances are key. Our old microwave & air fryer were noisy and we couldn't turn off the beeps and frankly, the persistent chemical smell from the air fryer was off putting. With family members on odd shifts, these were deal breakers. I took a chance and purchased the Breville Combi wave and it does not disappoint. I unboxed it and set it up in less than 15 minutes, to include turning off the annoying beeps. My 1st use was nuking frozen White Castle burgers. The interface was intuitive, I didn't have to look up codes or how to, the dials are easy to program and tell you exactly what you need to do if you have any experience with interfaces. If not, the booklet is a decent guide. Later the same day, I thawed some ground beef. It was thawed perfectly, no weird cooked edges and frozen centers. Finally, we programmed it to cook frozen crinkle fries. The smell was divine, the crunch was perfection. My spouse was enchanted. There's an unobtrusive interior light, the prompts ensure I'm using the proper equipment and the silent operation is exactly what I was hoping for. The quiet close door is a joy. It's the perfect microwave/ air fryer for households trying to minimize noise. Seriously, with the sounds muted, we weren't aware the air fryer had stopped. The footprint is somewhat larger than my old microwave but I was able to ditch my IP air fryer so it actually freed some countertop real estate. This is the start of a beautiful friendship. ... show more
