We love this Breville microwave! Since we cook all of our food on a stove we only use a microwave for warming foods. That's why this simple design is all that we need. It loods neat on the counter, and doesn't even take up that much room. We also love that it has a handle instead of the push button control that often breaks down. After a long search, the handle feature along with the positive reviews is why we did not hesitate to purchase this one. The child proof door lock was easy to shut off as we did not need this feature. Also, it's much quieter than the smaller one it replaced.

Finding a new microwave is a chore. They all seem so similar and so generic. When our last one stopped working I dreaded researching its replacement. My research results were all over the place: different recommendations from Amazon. Wirecutter, Reddit. Fortunately, I found this Breville and it's been perfect. Here's why: - it's actually nice looking. The dial and the buttons are such a nice, tactile, intuitive change from the typical touchpad - that dial is so smart and easy to use - it does the job. Unlike my last oven I haven't had anything boil over - and it's such a great size! My wife and I still marvel over how much smaller it is than our last one. Yet it accommodates everything we need to cook.

This is sooooooo much better than any microwave I’ve ever had. It does NOT nuke the food to death to where the food is exploding all over the place, but it still expeditiously gets it heated. Love the soft close door, and it looks great. I highly recommend it!

The media could not be loaded. I love the quiet door, the functionality, the look, the buttons, the knob & the size. But it's loud! Is the noise at startup typical or do I have a faulty microwave? It does cycle between quiet & loud about every 15 seconds or so. I'd give 5 stars if the sound wasn't so loud.

I have numerous Breville products which are usually reliable, but I am not happy with this microwave. After 10 months the clock starting to run 45 seconds fast for each minute, so that in 10 minutes it was already 8 minutes ahead. A few days later, the power is decreased, as it takes 7 minutes to heat a bowl of soup compared to the 2 minutes it did before. Even worse was Breville customer service. I called and was on hold for an hour before giving up. I opened a ticket and after 10 days of hearing nothing, called again. I then selected the "call me back" option and received a call 3 hours later. The service rep was patient with me, but also had me search for the serial number which I said was on a sticker on the back, but she kept disagreeing and insisting it was imprinted on the bottom of the microwave. After pulling it out, emptying it, and flipping it upside down and finding no number, she kept insisting. I emailed her a picture of the bottom, and the sticker I had found initially. What do you know, the number was on the sticker I first thought it was. Next I had to send her a proof of purchase, but despite giving her two email addresses to send a form to, I received neither. I uploaded a copy to the case I had opened. She approved the exchange, but I have to receive a shipping label (by the email that still hasn't worked,) take it to UPS, ship it, and wait for them to receive it and ship me a new one. So provided I drop it off immediately after writing this review, it will be 10-14 days of receiving a new one. I'm not sure about you guys, but I use my microwave numerous times a day. I asked to talk with a supervisor, to which she replied "I'd have to escalate the case." Um, ok so escalate it! She said one would call me back in 48-72 hours....

I’ve not been paid for this ad. I’ve had this but a few days, so I can’t make any comments about durability or the like. But, it is a very nice looking nuke that works as advertised and is a pleasure to use. In fact, it looks as good in real life as it does on screen. Kinda what I expect from Breville, though I’ve never owned one of their products. The stand out features to me are: 1. Quiet close door. This works great. It suggests superior engineering, and is much appreciated in a small home with four people rattling around. 2. The time cook knob. This is obviously intuitive and a slight time saver over button pushing. And there’s also something vaguely retro about a knob that appeals to me. 3. The long cylindrical handle that works for small hands, like children, and big ones. Also suggests some brains at work in the Breville lab. Finally, there’s the fact that it’s a Breville. Something about the name conveys an elevated experience, or maybe I’m just a sucker for a nice oven. One annoyance that it shares with most new nukes: The child lock button. It activates with every use and then one can’t open the door without pushing it. Is that small list of hard to quantify features worth the extra $150 over comparable small nukes? I have no idea. But for me it is.

My old GE microwave died and I rushed out to buy a replacement. I shouldn't have rushed. The new one had a touchpad that was not very responsive - I had to really press hard. It also had a button to open the door instead of a handle. More importantly, it would trip the circuit breaker if I used my coffeemaker or air fryer at the same time. After two weeks, I gave it away and ordered this Breville. It has a dial, which is so much better than a keypad. The soft close door with a handle is great. Importantly, I can use my air fryer or coffeemaker at the same time. One little nitpick - I have to be careful when I take a dish out of the oven so I don't dislodge the glass turntable. It's smaller than my previous microwaves but it's big enough for my needs.
