It responds well when we open the door to the garage and desire light to see before stepping down two steps in a very dark garage. Now, where to place the other...wish it could work in a hallway fixture that has a bottom half moon shade. Using for outside front and back porch. I had previously purchased another brand (not a known brand name) off Amazon, which worked great but only lasted about a year. Very hopeful about these. I got the natural light color which is a little more of a white light that I'd prefer, but feel like it may provide a little better visibility and security as it does a great job illuminating. Sensitivity is overall pretty good, not super sensitive, I find that if I go into my back yard I need to be a little closer or sometimes wave my hands around, but anyone walking right up to the back of the house will set it off. The front porch goes on no problem if anyone comes up to the door. Hopefully they will last a while! ... show more

    • Great porch light with motion sensor
I bought this because I like the motion sensor function for the porch. It lets me know if anybody comes near the door and also if we come home late the light comes on making it easier to open the door and see if anyone or anything is nearby. It prevents having a light on constantly which attracts too many bugs as well as wastes electricity. It has the option to switch it to stay on by simply turning the switch on twice in a row if you need it to stay on for an extended time then you can turn it off to go back to sensor mode. I installed these lights a several months ago in my garage and they are still working great. They provide a good amount of light and come on as soon as I step into the garage. They work so well I bought another pack to use in our utility room.

These are the BEST! I bought these lights for my garage. It seemed like the light on the garage opener would always go out when I was still loading things into my arms from the back of my car so now I’m struggling to get my phone to turn on the flashlight to figure out how I was going to hold the phone and carry the stuff I had to carry in. I was complaining about this to a friend and they said why don’t you get the motion detection lightbulbs?? I had never heard of them. So of course I went to Amazon. And I found them I put two of them into my garage one is almost directly over my car, and the other one is down the hallway which leads to the door into my condo , which gets very dark because there is no light that gets to it they work so perfectly I pulled in the garage the other night and boom on comes the first light and I just had a grin on my face from ear to ear. Go to the back of my car get my stuff out of the trunk got it all in my hands close the trunk. Of course the garage light from the garage door opener goes off not a problem . I now start towards the hallway and as I enter the hallway, the other light goes on Wala. I can see all the way to my door. It was absolutely phenomenal. Now to top it all off I also put one in my laundry room, which is the room I enter from the garage , and it is so nice when you open the door a light turns on so that I have a table I can unload my arms to, and I can hang up my coat takeoff my boots pick up my bags again and carry them into the kitchen all with being able to see because I have these motion sensor lights they’ve made my life so much easier thank you G E ... show more
