The Instruction Manual gives no information on how and where to put the 2 LED strips that come with the unit. Where do I put them? Also, you should take better care with the instructions, there are MANY misspelled words and words that run together

As described and it works! That may sound like faint praise, but this is now the fourth electric fireplace that I've tried in 2 years. The other 3 were garbage- 1 damaged before delivery and returned by UPS, another arrived with a 220v dryer plug cord and a third was returned as most of the features (similar to this one) were not present and the highest heat setting felt live a hair dryer set on "cool". I had basically given up- the place that it was supposed to go was (just) filled with a giant "I love me" sized TV and the other spot would require cutting into the wall of the Dining Room and would limit the placement of furniture. Once I got it and it was working and as it should, I ended up mounting it on an all metal (moveable) TV stand. This has worked out well for me, the back wall mounting brackets for this fireplace lined up with the mounts on the TV stand, I didn't have to cut into the wall and now the fireplace can "live" in the Dining Room where there is wall space, but is transportable to other rooms when fireplace heat or ambiance is wanted. Everything works as it should and there is a LOT of customization (maybe too much?) available, both through the remote and the touch buttons with LED display on the bottom of the fireplace front. I especially like the buttons on the fireplace and that they fade away and don't stand out when not in use. The touch control is excellent. The only negative that I've come up with so far is that on surface mounted/ not recessed installations, there is a lot of screws and backend visible when not viewed straight on and the glass front is much larger than the center box. I have not found a finishing kit for this fireplace to fill out and hide that like other (much, much) pricier brands offer. I may eventually build some sort of surround to disguise it if I can't find one eventually. With that, I think the placement of the fireplace touch buttons could be an issue if is was recess mounted as they are at the bottom. I'm super stoked to finally get an electric fireplace that is all that it is said to be and this was significantly less expensive than others on Amazon that had issues before. The measurements are a mix of rough-in and faced in the last picture, and there is no picture of the back (that I really wanted to see) I will post one of the back, mounted on the stand. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My husband installed this in my office because I stay so cold. I love the look of this in my office and the options to change the colors. However, there are only two heating options neither of which really push out a lot of heat. There is a fan speed of one through five and even on the highest setting it doesn’t really push out a lot of heat. Overall it’s not extremely loud but you can definitely hear that it’s running. ... show more

This electric fireplace is gorgeous and sets the mood in my bedroom. It was easy to install and I was able to install it myself. I didn't actually insert it into the wall but it still looks great being installed against the wall. The crystal gems that came with it looks great when it's not on as well as when it is on.
