REVISED: I'm leaving my original review before for reference only. I've changed my rating from one star to five stars for the remarkable customer service. After leaving my original review, I was contacted immediately by Abby, who wanted to make things right. Within days, I was sent a replacement topper to try, with assurances that if this doesn't work out, they would be happy to refund me. Very happy with the customer service! I hope the replacement makes the difference. You can't go wrong by at least trying this topper. Lots of people are happy with it! Hoping I can be one of them. Thanks to BedStory for standing by their product. After 5 months of use, the foam has completely broken down. It is useless. I paid $200 for this mattress pad. Would you be angry? I am. Then again, memory foam isn't what it used to be. Back in 2002, I bought an original memory foam topper. It was very dense, soft to sleep on, and held its shape for YEARS. Since then, memory foam has taken off, and manufacturers began tampering with the original formulation by adding "gel" for cooling, bamboo for added comfort, swirls to make you think you're getting a combination of durability and breathability, and on and on it goes. All of this tampering has weakened the foam to the point that after a short amount of time, it will break down in the area where your body lays as you sleep. For me, this topper has lasted 5 months, but it started breaking down a couple months prior. I've been trying to reinforce it with extra padding, but it's dead now. I woke up this morning in a literal hole. There is no longer any spring at the center of the topper. It's completely collapsed. The cover itself has done fine. Guess that's what I paid for. Never again, Amazon. This site is full of junk made in China. Quality is nonexistent now. I hope this message helps someone

Got this as a topper for a barracks mattress… INCREDIBLY comfortable! Stays put once you have a deep pocketed sheet holding it in place. Highly recommend! I’ve had it for about 4-5 months now…still love it as much now as I did right when I got it!

Edit: customer service reached out and made the situation right. Great service thank you. When I first unwrapped this and let it expand I was so excited! I loved the way it felt right away, the thickness is great, and the firmness seemed just right for me. Me. I couldn't wait to get it on my bed. After waiting the 48 hours I was able to get it onto my bed, the straps to attach it are great and super helpful, and it fit perfectly. When I tried laying down on it, I couldn't wait to go to bed because it felt so good! Here's where the problem comes in for me, unfortunately. This mattress pad is way too hot for me. I've been waking up sweating every night, and unable to fall back asleep. It is so comfortable and I wanted to love it so bad, but It just isn't for me. I am a hot sleeper, but I thought this had cooling foam that might make it work for me. It is a great product, but just not for me. I will say that I am super bummed or stressed out I guess trying to handle the return process. It is supposed to go in the original box, but now that it has expanded it is way way too big. I don't own a vacuum sealer like the other reviews are saying. I'm trying to figure out what to do before the return window closes, I will edit this and let you guys know if I figure something out! Hope this helps somebody.

So from some reviews when I got it said it had a smell but I took a chance. Though it did have a chemical smell it went away quickly after a couple of hours and haven’t had any issues with the smell since I bought it. It feels amazing and I am writing this months after buying because I wanted to see if anything would change since then and it hasn’t feels like it still just came out of the box.

This is a product that everyone needs on their bed and absolutely worth every penny. First of all, I would like to thank all the people who posted reviews on this product. I would have never taken the chance and ordered it without the wonderful inputs that were provided. My husband and I were gifted a very expensive new Costco bed that was as hard as a rock. When the owners said it was a very firm mattress they weren’t kidding. Literally, it felt like you were sleeping on a bed of nails. I have had hip replacements in the past and that one night of sleep had me unable to walk correctly for three days. We didn’t want to spend the money and toss this bed and buy a new one, for it was new. We started to investigate toppers to purchase, hoping that it would add some comfort for us. I have owned egg crates in the past and they are terrible because of the heat they produce. I produce enough heat on my own! We ordered the 4-inch topper and it is amazing, for it doesn’t produce heat and you sink right into it. I was impressed not only with the quality of sleep I had but also how well It is constructed. The cover that is included is made of very nice material. Don’t freak out for this product is very well vacuumed sealed and in a tiny package when it arrives. This was also impressive, for the first thing that went through my mind was “you have got to be kidding, this is going to be a joke!” The topper does have a seam down the center that is elevated. There are instructions on how to get rid of it, but our dog had no problem getting it out with her weight. I hope that this product lasts for years to come, for that first night of sleep was well worth the price for us. We will continue to brag about this product to everyone that comes our way looking for a better night sleep. PS. We also purchased the hotel pillows that were offered at an additional price by the same manufacture. They were just as described. For once in 20 years, we have the perfect bed along with pillows to match. One doesn’t realize how difficult it is to purchase these items until you get them home and they are the wrong ones. Beds and pillows seem to be either to soft or hard, no perfect medium. It seems impossible to win at your choices sometimes, but we scored big this time.
