REVISED: I'm leaving my original review before for reference only. I've changed my rating from one star to five stars for the remarkable customer service. After leaving my original review, I was contacted immediately by Abby, who wanted to make things right. Within days, I was sent a replacement topper to try, with assurances that if this doesn't work out, they would be happy to refund me. Very happy with the customer service! I hope the replacement makes the difference. You can't go wrong by at least trying this topper. Lots of people are happy with it! Hoping I can be one of them. Thanks to BedStory for standing by their product. After 5 months of use, the foam has completely broken down. It is useless. I paid $200 for this mattress pad. Would you be angry? I am. Then again, memory foam isn't what it used to be. Back in 2002, I bought an original memory foam topper. It was very dense, soft to sleep on, and held its shape for YEARS. Since then, memory foam has taken off, and manufacturers began tampering with the original formulation by adding "gel" for cooling, bamboo for added comfort, swirls to make you think you're getting a combination of durability and breathability, and on and on it goes. All of this tampering has weakened the foam to the point that after a short amount of time, it will break down in the area where your body lays as you sleep. For me, this topper has lasted 5 months, but it started breaking down a couple months prior. I've been trying to reinforce it with extra padding, but it's dead now. I woke up this morning in a literal hole. There is no longer any spring at the center of the topper. It's completely collapsed. The cover itself has done fine. Guess that's what I paid for. Never again, Amazon. This site is full of junk made in China. Quality is nonexistent now. I hope this message helps someone ... show more

Edit: customer service reached out and made the situation right. Great service thank you. When I first unwrapped this and let it expand I was so excited! I loved the way it felt right away, the thickness is great, and the firmness seemed just right for me. Me. I couldn't wait to get it on my bed. After waiting the 48 hours I was able to get it onto my bed, the straps to attach it are great and super helpful, and it fit perfectly. When I tried laying down on it, I couldn't wait to go to bed because it felt so good! Here's where the problem comes in for me, unfortunately. This mattress pad is way too hot for me. I've been waking up sweating every night, and unable to fall back asleep. It is so comfortable and I wanted to love it so bad, but It just isn't for me. I am a hot sleeper, but I thought this had cooling foam that might make it work for me. It is a great product, but just not for me. I will say that I am super bummed or stressed out I guess trying to handle the return process. It is supposed to go in the original box, but now that it has expanded it is way way too big. I don't own a vacuum sealer like the other reviews are saying. I'm trying to figure out what to do before the return window closes, I will edit this and let you guys know if I figure something out! Ok so this is an updated review. I had originally purchased the 3 " memory foam topper with the cover. It didn't work out because it was too firm for my liking. It was however very good quality. I left a review on Amazon giving my honest opinion about not being happy with it and Abby contacted me and offered to send me the one she thought I'd be more happy with. Its the 3 " solid memory foam. It doesn't come with a cover but she suggested maybe I could just switch the cover off the one I had. So I did and it fits just the same, and oh my God is this topper comfortable..... It's literally like sleeping on a cloud. I takes sheer will just to get out of bed these days. It feels soooo good no matter what position I'm in. I didn't realize the first one I purchased was a two part topper, standard foam and memory foam. This one is pure memory foam, and it really make a difference. So glad that Abby reached out to me and fixed the issue. Shows me how much they value their customers happiness. And to top it all off Abby just recently contacted me and refunded me the money I spent on the first topper. I only wish that other businesses valued their customers in this way, because even mediocre customer service is very hard to come by these days. I know who I will be buying from and recommending to others in the future for sure. So go on and buy from this company and let all your worries and concerns go because this lady Abby at this company is going to make sure you are taken care of and are the happiest customer possible. I want to start out by saying that this topper made my very hard, uncomfortable, and painful mattress into a very comfy and cozy place, that I never thought I could have without buying a new mattress all together. I don't wake up with awful back pain or hip pain. HOWEVER... I am pretty sad that I have to return this because I wake up so hot and sweaty. I want to keep this so bad, because it IS so comfortable. But it's not worth waking up sweating everyday. I am not sure how the return is going to go since there is no way I will be able to return it in the original box. ... show more
