An interesting M C story. Not like most of them I read. This one had a decent story line but I didn't understand the long six year break between the two. Breaker and Kate deserved better I thought.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Kate wakes up from a dream and she quickly realizes she's in a nightmare. What began as a fun night out at a club with her best friend Moxie, ended with her being alone far away from home. Terrified, Kate searches her memory to piece together how exactly she got there. Kate is from a small town and has lived a pretty sheltered life. She's from a large family that's used to just getting by. Kate has dreams of moving away and living on her own. Now, it seems, her life has been decided for her by whomever has abducted her and plans to keep her held hostage. With all hope lost, her dreams are quickly fading. Breaker, short for Heartbreaker, is part of a motorcycle club. He's rough, tough and makes his own way. He's all about the club. When he finds Kate and learns about club plans for her, he can't willingly take part, nor can he just stand by and watch. Apparently the club was becoming something Breaker didn't agree with and no one asked him his opinion regarding the way the club was evolving. The situation being Kate.     • Really awesome read!! I'd highly recommend.
I truly meant to finish this yesterday but I was getting a tattoo and didn't have time. But I absolutely loved this book. It was riveting. It was sincere. It was awesome. The only downfall for me (and it was minor) was the fact that half way through the book it went ahead 6 years. Though I am glad it did because I am on the fence when the h is only 18. I am not a huge fan. But 25/26 is a way better age. I loved how Breaker saved Kate and watched over her. He seemed like good people. He was definitely rock hard and ready. I am glad the Kate ended up a masseuse. I don't think I've read a book where the h is one. I'm glad she went to school and became something. I'm glad that Breaker became the Prez of his own MC group. That part was the sexiest. He was so extremely...yummy. With all his darkness and intrigue and down out right tastiness. I really like the interactions between characters. Even the ones between Buzz and Breaker. They were evenly matched. I enjoyed the "danger" and the shootouts. They were planned well and executed right. The scenes were placed at appropriate times. They were gripping and nail biting. I was actually sitting on the edge of my chair. Really great start to this series. Can't wait for more- Bones, Ironside and Big Daddy. Can't wait!!! ... show more

Really enjoyed this book Breaker saves Kate but they both might regret it if they live. Good story edge of your seat.

    • Lots of angst
Lots of drama. Good characters. Kept me on the seat of my chair. However, I didn’t like the time skips. I didn’t feel like they were in the right spot of the story. We got to know the characters but not deeply enough for the time lapse. The ending is happy, but just feels out of sync with the rest of the story. Overall not a bad story. Needs some editing there’s a few details that don’t match . Nice one though. ... show more

I’m all for an insta-love storyline but the “story” needs to make sense. I skimmed a lot of this book, it was all over the place. There were detailed descriptions of some situations and people and then no descriptions on others. I’m a bit lost. Going to try the next book but I’m not sure if I will complete this series. ... show more

Kate is a timid just turned adult taken away from everything she knows. Breaker is her savior in every way. Even a long time apart doesn't quench their fire. Very enjoyable read.

The way this book is written with spice & sugar .. it’s the recipe for true romance.
