To be honest I had no faith in this bread knife, I did not think it was going to be life changing or make cutting bread any easier, but I am happy to say I am so wrong. I absolutely love this bread knife, it made cutting bread so much easier! I cannot believe I have been punishing myself by using a whatever knife I had available next to me when I could have been using an official bread knife. Night and day difference, cutting fresh baked bread was such a breeze, this also helped me gauge the thickness of bread I wanted and it just layed everything over one another no problem. I am in awe of this knife, I absolutely adore it. I also appreciate the cloth bag that you can store everything in when you are not making bread so it does not have to hang out in the open and possible cut someone, I also really love and appreciate that another blade is provided in case anything happens to the original blade. It looks like it is pretty easy to switch out the blades that are held on on either end by a small screw. A small screwdriver and extra screws are provided, again another A+ for extra supplies. These blades are also super sharp so they are ready to be used out of the box. I really like that the handle is a smooth wood, it is a really light knife, and the blade just cuts through the bread literally like butter. I highly recommend this knife, you will not be disappointed, it is game changer, and you will never cut bread differently again. Highly recommend!

I ordered this JSLOOO Bread Bow Knife 15.7" Serrated Bread Knife, Wooden Bread Cutter for Homemade Bread, Bow Knife to use in my bread baking. I’ve gotten very into baking bread in the last few months. I missed the whole sourdough craze a few years back, but I’m working at home these days, and I find that baking yeast breads makes a nice little break in my day as I get up from my desk, stretch, and go deal with the next stage proofing my breads. Also, I discovered that I can make 6-8 loaves of homemade bread for the cost of about 3 loaves of supermarket bread, and I know exactly what’s in my bread. And my family loves the home baked bread. So I wanted a really good bread knife that wouldn’t tear the bread and would give a nice, clean cut. This knife is quite sharp. I mean it, sharp is the word. I cut myself twice trying to get the blade guard back on. (More about that later.) The knife is set into a wooden bow. This is called a bow bread knife. The blade is in a wooden bow reminiscent of a violin bow. These knives are sharp and allow for easy cutting of bread and keeping bread sizes uniform. (Why, yes. I did google this!) This bow bread knife is about 15 1/2” long, made of a sort of golden colored wood. I wish I had known before I ordered that these are most often handed knives; that is to say, most of them are made for right handed people. There are artisans who make left handed bow bread knives (more fun google facts) but they are weighted and made to be used in the right hand. I suspected this when I, a leftie, tried to cut a piece off a fresh baked loaf and wound up making a strange, jagged, slanted cut. Fortunately, I’m fairly ambidextrous, so I swapped hands and it worked beautifully. Just wanted to let other lefties know, this may not work as well for us. The knife is easy to use (in the right hand) and it does make uniform slices. You can line up the bow against your bread to keep slices the same length. This also came with a blade cover and a storage bag.(The sales page says it was also supposed to include two replacement blades and a screwdriver for changing out blades, plus a cleaning cloth. I did not receive these.) The storage bag works perfectly. Unfortunately, I struggled quite a bit with the blade cover. It is a small triangular plastic piece. Usually they slide over one end of the blade. But on this knife, the ends of the blade are both fastened to the bow. The blade guard is small and slippery. I would manage to hold one end open, then cut myself trying to insert the blade. This happened a couple times. Finally I asked my husband to do it. He managed to get it on, but said it was tricky. I gave this knife four stars. I subtracted one star for the hard to use blade cover, because trying to use it has left my hands covered in Band Aids. This is quite a sharp knife, I want to be able to cover the blade before storing it in a kitchen drawer for safety. I also would have liked to receive the screwdriver and additional blades promised on the sales page. However, I really like the looks of the knife, how easy it is to use, and the fact it makes cutting uniformly sized slices of bread very easy. Bow bread knife is made of golden wood and a very sharp knife blade. These kinds of knives are handed, this cuts beautifully with the right hand, unevenly if you are a leftie like me. The blade cover is a nice idea, but very tricky to use.

Saw lots of instagram influencers using this so I thought why not give it a try (consider me properly influenced). I make all my bread from scratch and just used a regular bread knife but this is soooo much better! It cuts through a nice thick crust with ease and minimal pushing. Beware this tool is SHARP. But the way the serrated edges are makes it perfect for getting a good slice without destroying the rest of the loaf. I still have a hard time getting slices even but they are certainly more uniform now that I use this tool. If you make a lot of bread (especially Italian, sourdough, artisan, or similar) then trust me, you knead this (heh heh). I like this one especially because it comes with an extra blade, storage bag, and a cover for the blade. Its great bang for your buck! You dont need to wash or scrub this either if youre using it for its intended purpose. Wipe the blade with a damp cloth and youre good to go! If you take care of this, I can see it lasting a very very long time.

Traditional knives are useless on loaf bread as they are too heavy and mash down the bread, so this thin, razor sharp bread bow knife is perfect for cutting bread baked at home or unsliced loaves from the grocery store. The knife comes with a storage bag, cleaning cloth, plastic protective sleeve and a replacement blade and screwdriver. The only caution is to take extreme care when putting the protective sleeve on the blade, it is easy to cut a finger, a little larger, sturdier sleeve might have helped avoid that risk.
