So far, so good! Braun has always been a great German brand even though they have been bought by P&G in recent years... I decided to give this blender a try because, well, nothing else seems to work! All the other (cheap) brands seem to be designed to stop working after just a few months; some are downright hazardous to operate. I'm looking for something that'll last me a few years. This blender feels sturdy and well made. It is quiet and super easy to clean, too. You will need an adapter, though - should only cost you a few bucks. Works great with small batches of fruit, oats, etc. Because this is a portable blender, this works best with bite-sized pieces. It won't crush ice-tray sized ice. You have to pre-cut fruits, veggies etc for best results. This cannot be a substitute for a home blender. This blender though can be a great travel companion for a globetrotter since it works with 110V-240V and 50-60khz. ... show more

Does great job at blending. Package does not contain any extras like a whisk, only one BPA-free Cup. Voltage is 220V, so converter is needed. I guess the 'lightweight' means that there is lots of plastic... Will see how long this will last.     • My unit came with a type G connector - not useful to me
Per comments and questions others have ordered this listing and received a Type-C (Euro) electrical plug. I got a unit with a Type G plug, which isn't useful. Would be better if the listing said what plug type it was.
