I am relatively new to cocking, so my opinion is largely based on my background with engineering. This seems to be a very well made unit. Very much in line with the excellent legacy of Braun products. Pros: Perfectly balanced Virtually no vibrations Extremely smooth gearing (comment: these pro’s make it a pure joy to experience) Cons: Release button hard to press Attachments hard to install/push-in. Loved the mixer lightweight and works great easy to use. Except the eject button is too hard to use had to call husband for help. I also was looking forward to storage bag but it’s only for the attachments.

For the last 40 years, I've only used a hand mixer and this is definitely the worst. I've tried to use it twice and each time ended up mixing the batter by hand. My advice is to not buy it for these reasons: 1) As in other ratings, beaters are EXTREMELY difficult to get out, even when beaters are inserted correctly. My husband had to eject the beaters for me - I didn't have the strength - and I'm not weak. 2) The design of the beaters does not make for easy or quick blending. It may be light, but the batter tosses the blender around, instead of the reverse, and it takes effort to hold it the mixer in place. My arm is still sore from trying to use it to make cookies the night before. 3) As in other rating, the design and/or the speed of the mixer splatters the batter outside of the bowl, no matter what you try, even on the lowest setting. 4) Each beater has it's own specific hole, which we didn't realize at first - this is not specified in the instructions and they are almost impossible to eject if inserted incorrectly. The first time I tried to use it I didn't realize this until I couldn't get the 2nd one in. It took us almost a half hour to the first one out. Definitely looking for another blender. ... show more

I had a Braun Multi mix hand blender I bought over 20 years ago, worked great until it finally wore out and only worked at max speed. Bought myself this one to replace it. Didn’t need it right away so stupidly never tested it out within my return window. The beaters don’t eject. They go in ok, but you have to rip them out manually, as the ejector button does nothing. I’m not wasting my time calling customer support, so can’t comment on that. I still had my beaters from my 20 year old mixer, and they work much better (though you still have to push the eject button really, really hard to get them to eject.) The mixer itself mixes quite nicely, the overall quality is not great or reliable. I’d suggest you keep looking. ... show more
