My Series 9 is over 5 years old. I’ve replaced the cartridge once before with the identical kind it came with and a new one made a big difference after using the original for about two years. However, I greatly appreciate that Braun keeps these new carts interchangeable with older models because this new one is in another. The Series 9 is a great shaver because you can shave baby’s bottom smooth with no irritation (as long as you’re not shoving it into your face and doing super fast swipes) and after 5 years or so you can replace the battery for like $50 when it inevitable burns out like mine did and it’s like new. The build is also outstanding. Very durable. The big difference and great surprise with this newest version of the cartridge is with my neck. The hair on my neck grows in countless bazaar directions and regular blades make it impossible for me to go over it two days in a row without serious irritation and ingrown hairs. I dove deep into all the premium wet shave products and razors and could pull off a good close shave with little to no irritation but shaving two days in a row was still out of the question. The big improvement I notice with this cartridge is how it cuts short stubble, and that makes the biggest difference on my neck. With the other S9 carts I could get a bare smooth shave on my neck but it took a good 10/15 minutes and probably 50 passes. But this new one picks up everything in the coils and goes closer than the other carts with about 15 passes with way way way less pressure needing to be applied and without any irritation whatsoever. The others carts caused a tiny amount of irritation, not really any pain, but the two little problem patches on my neck would usually be red and noticeable but overall the shave was great. This latest cartridge is a grand slam. So happy it fits my older Series 9 which still looks brand new and works perfectly. And I like how this new one has a frosted metallic finish that doesn’t match the shiny chrome style of my S9 but makes for a cool contrasted look. ... show more

Let me save you some time and frustration. I have had my Braun series 9 for a long time and have replaced the head several times, usually at more than the recommended 18 month interval. This time, I saw one that was about half the price of others that looked kind of the same. But when it arrived, it had a big sticker on it saying “made in China,” and though the packaging was the same color and pattern as Braun’s, the name didn’t appear anywhere. That wasn’t as obvious from the Amazon entry. The first time I used it, it pinched me a couple of times (though it didn’t leave any wounds), And the experience was frustrating. It left patches and stubble that forced me to spend a long time going over areas repeatedly, still not getting a good result. I tried it again, and it was no better. So I ordered the one that said “Braun” on it. I just used it for the first time, and the shave was outstanding—fast and close. I like saving money as much as anybody, but this is not the place to do it. I’m also not one to hate Chinese products or idolize German ones. But there was a pretty big difference here.     • Replacement shaver head.
This is the first replacement shaver head & I decided to go with the model 94M. I cannot be happier with this model,... no more pulling out of my facial hair when it was 2 or 3 days old! I also noticed a closer shave in less time! I would definitely recommend this particular model... works great!

My Braun 9 series shaver head starting cutting me. Foil had deteriorated making the shaver unusable. Used an old Norelco while waiting on the replacement Braun head. New foil head is excellent but expensive. With the new head I would rate the Braun about equal in shaving closeness but the Norelco is still more comfortable - and cheaper. And the Norelco has never cut me. ... show more

If you have a old shaver head u been reusing and refusing to change because of the cost, its your sign to buy this one. The shaver head feels nice and is smooth. I didnt need to go over my beard as many times as i did with other replacement heads/shavers. While im at it, make sure u replace your cleaning alcohol that your charger uses ... show more
