I got these after spending a few months experimenting with my jerk chicken recipe and deciding that something was missing. The wood used to cook with was the only thing I could think of, and it made all the difference. I tried apple, pecan, hickory, mesquite, and alder with nothing working to get the flavor that true jerk has. I found these while looking for sweet and pimento wood chips, and while I'm not sure what wood these are made from, the flavor is just what my recipe needed. I don't use them in my Bradley, I use them in a steel smoker box that with charcoal. Very much worth trying. ... show more

Bisquett box arrived open and looked like it had been opened and taped shut to be returned. Plastic inside was open as well.. Will be returning as I have no idea what the pucks really are.
